For talk of JKR's rumor section. Did JKR squash any rumors you previously thought true? Are there rumors you wish she would address in this section?

One of my favorite parts about the Rumours section is, of course, the ads at the bottom.  I like the one for Borgin and Burkes, but then I was howling about the one for Magi-me-more...

"Charms gone stale and droopy?"  Puh-leeze!

And, well, there's more where that came from.  And you know what it reminded me of right away?  An ad for Viagra.   tongue.gif

Because "MarauderFlyOnTheWall" was just too darn long, that's why!

OMG you are too much, FlyOnTheWall. wink.gif Indeed I love the ads too. But I especially love how the Rumours section is in tabloid form.

A rumour that Jo could comment in RUMOURS:

Did Jo denie Hagrid as Half-Blood Prince in Edinburgh Book Festival?

The "Hagrid is not the HBP" rumour supposedly comes from a private question asked at the Edinburgh Book Festival at the book signing afterwards. It might be true but we have no way of checking it unless Jo tells us in a verifiable manner.
Storge is basically an ancient greek word for the type of love which can broadly be translated as affection (eg. between a parent and a child).

Yes! A long while ago I mentioned that that ad sounded exactly like a Viagra ad, and I could practically feel the eyes rolling! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who immidiately thought of that, I was a bit worried, lol.

Well, last summer, a hoaxer claimed that Jo had posted a message on her site saying that the title of the sixth HP book would be "Pillar of Storge". The message and images the hoaxer provided were so convincing that quite a few HP sites reported on it, and Jo had to later deny the rumor. That's what she's referring to.
