Err, this was accidentally deleted, so here's our second go at this thread.  What information from Extra Stuff has surprised you, annoyed you, excited you?  How, if at all, do you think that this new information will come into play as the sixth and seventh books come out?

I was really impressed with the character history for Dean Thomas etc, I don't think it will ever be used in the future books, but it's amazing to see how Jo's mind works.

The bits on wands was quite interesting, and my fav bit over the last year, has been the Mark Evans stuff (YES!!! FINALLY WE CAN NAIL THAT COFFIN SHUT).

All that stuff on Nott has me thinking that he may be HBP...we don't know if the HBP is good or bad, and if Jo keeps using old lore ref's, it might be the nott kid.  Look @ Mordrid in the tales of Arthur, he wasn't too kindly!

I'd like very much for Jo to give us a teaser on Blaise Zabini, since according to the Mistress of All Evil herself, we're going to meet this kid.

A bit more on Theodore Nott would be nice too, as would a certain door to swing open, but I'm not pushing. Jo, you've got enough going on with a newborn and all.

The "Extra Stuff" section just makes me yearn more for a chat with JKR. There must be a fortune of unused story lines and character history that we'd never know about.

I hope she adds more to this section over time (but there are other things I'd like to see updated, as well ... *coughfaqpollcough* *coughroomofrequirementcough*).

I like the owl-text best. It's fascinating. I had never the idea, that the owls reflect the Harry's, Ron's etc. characters.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post this in, but there wasn't a thread for the FAQ's section thats on JK's site so.... I'm just wondering when she is going to answer the question to her FAQ Poll about; What is the significance of Neville being the other kid to whom the prophecy refers to?--> I really want to know what kind of an answer she would have to that question!!!!

I was most interested in Nearly Headless Nick's ballad. I have always wondered about the details of his death.
