Do you have specific questions that have not been addressed in the Submission Criteria or the Scribbulus Information page? confused07.gif

Ask them here! A member of the essay team will be happy to answer your questions or will direct you to the place to find the answers you need.

I'm sure this will be a moot point once Scribblus is fully opened, but I'm curious, so I'll ask.   Where will the essays be located?  Will they be pinned and locked, as the first post on the regular threads, or in some other location?

This isn't really a question - more a heads-up! But I didn't find any other thread for it.  :conf: There seem to be a few missing links in DorisTLC's Submission Guidelines thread.
Snippets from that post:
QUOTE
Scribbulus Publishing Criteria

Respect, Appropriateness and Honesty

Honesty
... For examples on how citations in the text may see this MLA link.

...

Language
All our essays are written in Standard Written English. Our reviewing staff offer some help to authors whose first language is not English, see our sumbmission form page (link). ...

...

To submit your essay, please go to the Submission Form.  If you have any questions, please give us a note by PM or e-mail, or post in our
"Questions or Concerns" thread in the Scribbulus forum (link)
All so called links in these part of the text are nothing but the word "link". I would assume they were supposed to be actual links?

I suppose this is the thread DorisTLC refers to as Questions and Concerns? If so, perhaps you should either change the title of this thread or her post in the Info thread so the names match, to make it easier recognizable?

Edit: I can't spell... sad.gif

Are essays restricted to the same ibcode used in ordinary posts? (That's a long-winded way of asking whether we can put tables in essays?)

No, actually it's not in iB code.... I can't tell you the technical name for it (thus why I'm an editor & not a tekkie!!), but the submissions page looks as if it's closest to Microsoft Word.  I don't know how the submissions WORK exactly, but I do know that two essays already have charts in them.  I couldn't tell you if they're entirely chart-like or if they're pictures, but they're in there!  :)

Considering that DorisTLC wrote this in the info thread, I guess you can use HTML.

Questions and Concerns
This is where you post if there is anything at all about Scribbulus or this forum that confuses, concerns or upsets you. ..., if you don't get our sumbission form to work or you have no idea how to use html code in your essay - or if you have any other question or concern at all. This thread is for interaction with the Scribbulus staff, and we will try and answer your questions and comments in this thread as soon as we have the time.
(My highlights.)

A while ago I wrote an essay here on the forum in the Penesive Parlor, is it alright to post that here? I just wondered, I wrote it a while ago.

Took a test one of these days, turns out to have a personality that is 95% of Hermione and 90% Snape. That must be the perfect character.
I am a wizard the Norwegian Minstery of Magic have forgotten
Physics would be Hermione's favourite subject, at least it is mine.
