I was just wondering, are there actually ANY 'Potter Parties' or any gatherings that go on in the UK? Because everyone I read about there all in the US.

Does anyone know if there is any in the UK, if so, have you been to them?

Could you let me know?

I've tried to find some before without any luck aswell, although there will be a convention (Accio 2007) in Reading but as for Potter parties I've not been able to find any. unsure.gif smile.gif

yeah, I've been looking for harry potter parties and conventions but had no luck. The accio 2007 looks good but unfortunately, I would be year younger then the required age, so thats a no-no for me.

Good luck thought and if you find an open potter party or convention then post up! :-)

Hello!!!
I'm Spanish and I'm planning on going to London for a release party. The thing is... I've never been to London, so I don't know the city at all, and of course, I don't know anything about release parties. Could someone please list some of the parties for that day? Should I preorder the book? How can I do so? Also, I know I'm asking for a lot of things ohmy.gif but I'm totally lost here... Could anyone tell me how the parties go? I mean... do you simply wait hours conf.gif till they give you the book or do they prepare something special like games and other stuff?
Lots of questions, I know... but I'm anxious to know!! unsure.gif

Well, I'm sure there will be a lot of parties around. I'll also be in London, I don't know much about them either.

There is a conference that weekend, if you're interested. It's called Sectus, and it sounds pretty good. I've already signed up for it and you can pre-order your book through their website. As I understand it, they will pass them out at midnight during the conference. www.sectus.org thumbup.gif
They have several things going on during the conference, too, so it's not like you're just standing around counting down the hours.
