As you can see by Doris' announcement below, there will be regular TLC-wide activities held once a month starting in May. Since every part of TLC has its own little home here on the Leaky Lounge forum, the forum will be the base of operations for these activites. The actual Chamber of Chat plus the "Corner Booth" text chat will serve as areas for TLC user to share and discuss what is going on DURING the activity. Plus, like other areas of TLC we will likely do some small activity to go along with whatever theme that month's "Meet and Greet" will be. No one staff member can tell you what all will happen on the day of these activities - plus they are meant to be surprises! Just watch for official Forum News to be posted in the link area in the upper-right hand corner of every page of the forum. Forum News is located just below "The Rules : FAQ : Memberlist : Search"

For old announcements go to the TLC Bulletin Board.

Thanks to everyone who helped save the Lounge and Hagrid from being Banned for Life! This was the first of a regular, monthly "Meet and Greet" event to all the Loungers to enjoy the forum and get to know each other! Look forward to more in the future!

Greetings all!

I've been asked a few times recently about when our next activity will be. Our next big Chamber of Chat event is planned for June 22nd July 24th. The theme of the event is going to be "I Love The CoC!" (similar to VH1's "I love the 80's)

We will have pictionary and trivia like we have had at some of our previous events and we're also coming up with some new ideas. We welcome any suggestions that you have concerning activities or the event in general.

It's been nearly a year and we are looking forward to celebrating with everyone.

In the present (and the future too!) most of our activities will be done with the forum since we're participating in their monthly "meet and greet" activities. Specific dates and times will be set by the forum people incharge of each activity. As far as I know these will be held on Saturdays; however, there's not much we can do about special holidays (Valentines, April Fools, Halloween) falling on weekdays.

Chamber of Chat "I Love the CoC!" Activity

In the classical style of VH1's "I Love the 80's," join us from 12-6pm on Saturday July 22nd for a day of reliving some of our favorite CoC activities from the last year or so. Activities will repeat approximately once every 2 hours so that everyone who is available has the chance to hopefully participate at least once. Watch for your favorite characters to know when an activity is about to start!

Silly Trivia about the CoC Staff (12:00-12:30, 2:00-2:30, 4:00-4:30pm)
That tricky Peeves has been gathering silly trivia about the CoC staff! Join us in the Gryffindor Tower where Peeves will ask the questions...and you have to guess the answer!

Draw with Dobby (12:30-1:00, 2:30-3:00, 4:30-5:00pm)
Dobby's favorite Harry Potter character is of course, Harry Potter! Which one is yours? Join Dobby in the Magical Art room to draw your favorite characters from the HP books or movies. Don't worry - this is practice time! Dobby promises to let those who draw have 3 minutes each, even if someone DOES guess your character smile.gif

H.P. on the C.o.C. (1:00-1:30, 3:00-3:30, 5:00-5:30pm)
Join Hagrid in the Rune Field for some academic discussions about the Harry Potter books. Each class session will have its own topic, so pay attention to 'ol Hagrid and you'll do just fine. Be sure to have your HP books on hand!

Dobby is Free! (1:45-2:00, 3:45-4:00, 5:45-6:00pm)
Whenever you see Dobby wander into your room - everyone yell "Dobby Is Free!" and form a dog-pile around him as tight as you can!

Duel Till You Drop (12-6pm)
Has it been awhile since you've had the chance to duke it out? Has Snape been teasing that you are as bad a spellcaster as Lockhart? Well head on over to the Dark Forest. But be forewarned, if you enter this place the spells will be flying! Please try to keep it to no more than two-on-one duels so this all-day event stays fair and fun smile.gif

Avatar Fashion Show (12-6pm)
The Study Hall is the stylish place to be. Walk the red carpet and show us all of your favorite avatar styles!

Potluck Buffet (12-6pm)
Hungry? Bring your favorite dishes to "share" with your fellow members over in the L. Cauldron. The buffet will be free for all so come help yourselves!

Essay Contest - "I Love the CoC!"
Wondering if we are giving away any prizes for any activities? Well we are! We created an essay contest to take care of the job. wink.gif The topic is "I Love the CoC." Read here for more details and how to submit an essay.

Please note this important announcement from Aislinn, the Corner Booth Chat Manager:
QUOTE
Aislinn post Yesterday, 01:30 PM

Hi all! With the special events being held in NY on Aug. 2 (Live PotterCast and JK Rowling book reading!), we will not be holding our usual Wize Wizard chat at 7 that night. We will instead be trying to open up for a chat during the live broadcast of the Leaky PotterCast that is due to be held that day. Look for an announcement to go up at the top of the the forums when the Corner Booth opens, and we'll see you back in Wize Wizard on Wed. 8/9.
The CoC's next post Corner Booth chat will be held, once Corner Booth returns to its regularly scheduled HP chats.
