My favorite author, other than JK Rowling, would have to be LM Montgomery. I love the Anne series along with the other stories she has written. Her stories just make a person feel happy. smile.gif

I have two actually, so much so that I have re-read their books several times over.

MaryJanice Davidson writes the Undead series and The Royal series. Both are funny and poignant with lusty stuff thrown in.

Janet Evanovich is the other. She has a few different lines going but the two that I like most are the Stephanie Plum novels and the Metro Girl series. Well written, well researched, funny as hell and exciting. Stephanie is a (not very good at it) bounty hunter and the stories revolve around certain cases that pull in the wacky friends and family.

Lots of fun read.gif

I don't actually have a favorite but I like to read, Sydney Sheldon, JD Robb, Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, Mary Higgins Clark. I seem to keep looking for anything new written by these authors.

hmm...this is a really hard question...i think my favourite author besides JKR would have to be garth nix. I love his stories and his writing makes you feel like you are actually in the story which is great

oh! and I loveeeeee dan brown. i dont know what it is about his writing but his writing maes me want to gobble up the books...i love his writing lol

nobody captures my imagination like JKR, but JRR Tolkien does it in a different way. Other than those two, I'd have to go with Louis Sachar, because of his wacky sense of humor and surprisingly real characters.

There's so many! I love Ann Rinaldi, Lisa Yee, Libba Bray, and Stephenie Meyer, but none of them come close to topping J.K. Rowling.
