The Warning Levels topic was closed before I got round to asking this. What consists of a warning. I got a post edited for using stars to cover up aword in my post, and the mod sent me a pm saying 'you have been warned', but nothing has happened to my warning levels.

Also, If I start a topic like this, which then gets a reply and gets closed, it is possible to then delete the topic so it doesn't appear on my threads list and clogg it up?

Thanks?

We never delete topics or posts. We might move them to areas where members cannot view them, but we never delete them.

Your own warning bar is visible to you so that you know if you've been pipped with a warning level. If you have been, one of the light blue squares will turn dark blue. So, a pipping is what you're asking about. If a mod says that you've been pipped or your warning level has been incremented, and you see that one of the light blue squares has turned dark blue, then you'll know that you've gotten a warning pip.

Do warning levels get taken away if you have been good for a period of time?

what would a period like that be? And I'm curious, as teh warnings increase to the blocks get darker or will all the warning blocks be the same color as they increase?

The time to have your warning pip removed depends on the offense that earned the pip in the first place.

The colors are always one shade of light blue and one shade of dark blue; they don't get darker or lighter depending on how many one has.

if you almost never delte topics, and you move them to anouther place. Doesn't that take up massive memory or something like that? Why do you save them?

We keep them in order to keep a record of any rule-breaking on the forum, and having them stored locally within easy reach is ideal.

You can send an e-mail to our e-mail manager through the main page to ask about that; she can be reached through the Contact Us page. Just put "Other" in as the subject.

No guarantees that it'll be answered; those sorts of things are seldom if ever disclosed to the public for this site.
