( Well, it can happen - i'm not from Germany, but Denmark... Live only 30 Km from the border, so i have to adapt languagewise!
Didn't you visit the "Silver threads..."? Have you gotten lost?
See you, and have a nice day! )

Translation (srry i forgot!):

I can speak a little bit of German. German is not my first language, I live in the Netherlands. I learn German in school, for about 4 years now. My German is not that good but I love the language.

Hi,
I'm so happy to find this thread!!! I'm from Quebec so my first language is French. I studied English, Spanish and German in college. I always liked German very much but I can't practice it very often. I even have two Harry Potter books in German. If my English is good enough, I will have the right to take a German class next winter. I really hope I will!!!
That was so hard to write. I really need to pratice!!!

It's interesting that some of you are studying German at school. I thought German would be very unpopular in foreign countries because the Grammar is very difficult. At the moment I am living in Germany but after school I want to move to another country - I prefer Great Britain!
Has anybody of you already been in Germany?

------------

Cecelia, that's not so strange - for centuries, German was the common language in Central and East Europe. Nowadays, it leans towards English..
Yes, i'm in Germany at least once every month - the VAT on food is conciderably lower than in Denmark, and building materials is half the price...

potter_gold, "Break a leg" with your test. Don't feel ashamed - no matter what nationality, every trainee dreams about selling their German teacher extremely cheap...
