Gary Oldman is just fine!
I don't understand why people complain about him sooo much! Sure, he may not be as young or handsome as it says the character is in the book, but seriously, who is their character's age in the HP movies?
I think that his acting is very Sirius-like, and I'm ganna cry when we see him die in the movie!

I like Gary Oldman only his acting. He's good actor but not Sirius. At first i saw i was like OH MY GOSH!! that's not my Sirius!, when i saw the movie, he's still not Sirius to me, but some parts he did the role really well. I think if he's younger and handsomer, he could be a fine Sirius.
Ok so who should have played Sirius Black? ...
Christian Bale!!!!! he's got the Sirius-look to me. By the look i mean everything. I love his acting, his accent, his facial expression, his attitude. Perfect!

I have to agree. I don't pay too much attention to the physical descriptions of people in books, in general. Don't know why, it' just something I do (or don't do!) subconsciously.
So when I started watching the movies, it was just amazing to me looking at some of the actors I'd seen before in films (Sirius Black, aka Gary Oldman, in particular) looking ssooo amzingly different! And so perfect for the parts they played.
Sure, he's not the conventional good-looker they have depicted him as, in the books. But the man has made this role his own. I don't like, for example, how Gambon as DD looks quite a bit like DD-books but acts nothing like him!!! BookDD would NEVER shove the kids out of the way to talk to the Fat Lady, like he seems to do in the movie!!
