Tell how you discovered PotterCast! biggrin.gif

I can recall the show, it was PotterCast #45. I use to listen to MuggleCast, and only MuggleCast. Then one day I was bored of waitting for the next MC and downloaded PotterCast 45, because it had some MuggleCasters in it. At first I didn't really like it (I'm sure I was just recovering from a major brain injury at the time tongue.gif ) and I was shocked at the Mods love for Tom (yet they were so funny and fun to listen to). But I soon discovered PotterCast was a lot better than other Podcast, and it's now the only podcast I listen to.

I think it was with in my first week on the lounge. I was looking at every inch of TLC as a newbie and clicked on every side menu (where all the chat times are located) link and news bar at the top of TLC and there was something about PotterCast on it and clicked on the PotterCast link. When I came upon this really cool, too blue, website. I was wondering what a PotterCast was and clicked on PC 35 randomly and have been hooked since.

I actually discovered PotterCast before Leaky and the other internet sites. We had a really slow computer at the time, so I never really went on it much and googling "Harry Potter" to see what was out there would have taken forever. I had to resort to theorising with my family, who couldn't care less. Anyway, PotterCast has just come out and my Dad was browsing itunes on one of the computers where he works, and, he saw PotterCast and downloaded it onto his ipod for me (maybe to stop me bugging him about what he thought the horcruxes were ponder.gif ) So I listened to the first episode and loved it. He actually listened until episode 10 or so, but PotterCast was too hardcore for him, I suppose. Since I had a slow computer, I made my poor father download it for me every week at work until episode 57, when I finally had a good, fast computer and an ipod biggrin.gif I wonder what would've happened if he had subscribed to Mugglecast (which I listen to now, too) instead...

I discovered PotterCast by listening to MuggleCast. I remember them mentioning PC so I searched it on iTunes and now I listen to PotterCast first and then MuggleCast

I discovered PotterCast at episode 51 - the one with the first segment of the Matt Lewis interview. I listened to it from the main Leaky News page. I don't have an ipod but I downloaded iTunes and have listened to it from there since. It was the first time I had ever even heard of Podcasting but I've listened to all 70 episodes now and all the LeakyMugs.

I loved that first show. It was great to find somewhere else with people obsessing about HP and to get all the latest news and I thought the hosts (Melissa and Sue) were really entertaining.

John wasn't on that episode and then when I did hear him he really irritiated me. shocking.gif Sorry John! (It's actually because he sounds exactly like my ex-boyfriend who I can't stand anymore!) Anyway, I got over that after a couple of episodes because John is hilarious and I'm very much a John fan-girl now. wub.gif

I've tried Mugglecast but the boys annoy me most of the time. I listen occasionally if the episode guide looks particularly interesting. I do like Snapecast though. smile.gif

Kinda gotta do a little background here. First off I knew about Mugglnet and then the Leaky Cauldron and got to the point where I visited both sites.

First I listened to MuggleCast. Many may gasp at this but this is only because it was out before PotterCast. Then I saw PotterCast came out when it was announced on TLC. And now I listen to both still and have been around for both since the very beginning. Yeah it's not that exciting of a story. I listen to a few other podcasts but PC and MC are two that I always make sure I listen to (or at least catch up on first) ...Oh and Leaky Fan Cast of course biggrin.gif !!!

Well mine isn'ty very exciting...I was on TLC, and i saw a new link on the site, so as always curiosity got the better of me...and i ended up on the PC site, as I had just got an iPod I decided to download it...and the rest is history!

i think I must be one of the few who listened to PC before MC...and then of course I also listen to the LeakyMugs and Lose the Tone!

Like a few others, I discovered PotterCast through MuggleCast. Then, MuggleCast and PotterCast did a joint podcast about, I think, the Goblet of Fire trailer. I liked it, so I went onto iTunes and downloaded the most recent episdoe of PotterCast. It was a great episdoe, so I subscribed. Now I listen to both podcasts.

Resistance is futile!! Leaky has been a crutch of mine since sometime in 2002. Whenever work was stressing me out, or I needed a bit of escapism, Leaky would always be there, as addicted to HP as me gry.gif
As soon as TLC announced the Podcast I downloaded I-tunes, a few months later, I got myself an Ipod, so I could listen on the way to work, rather than having to wait until I got home. It's just a natural extension of fandom
Now I'm subscribed to at least 12 different podcasts, covering all my interests, but Pottercast will always be my favourite notworthy.gif
