Can't figure out how this arm should bend? Not sure how the shadows on this face should look? Those dastardly hands giving you problems??

Post your works-in-progress here and get some input from your fellow artists and audience! It never hurts to have a second opinion, and everyone can improve smile.gif!

Note: This thread is only for constructive comments and helpful critique. "AUGH, THAT LOOKS LIKE CRAP" is not a helpful critique. "Awesome pic! I think the left leg looks a little short though" etc. is helpful critique biggrin.gif.

Well, I just uploaded my first ever image into the Galleries. I need someone to tell me how it looks, because I'm doubtful anyone's ever going to comment.

It's a pencil sketch of Rufus Scrimgeour I did--unfortunately, my scanner brought out all the eraser lines that were invisible on paper. tongue.gif

Aww, c'mon and show us. You'll never get any better if you don't let people see your stuff. If it was really that bad, which I doubt, we can help you improve it - which is the whole point of this thread anyway. x)

salamandersoup (what a cool name by the way lol.gif ) is absolutely right smile.gif . The moderators would only ever allow constructive criticism in this thread, and established artists can come by and give great feedback.

I admire anyone who even attempts fan art smile.gif .

Maybe if you post a link to some of your artwork it would be easier to give more specific comments and advice. Also, what media do you use: digital, hand-drawn or a combination?

I don't really know about your pictures, Midnight Phoenix, but I like the video, it's highly entertaining! clap.gif I think it would be great if you complete it... maybe slip in some of that scene when Weasley twins mocked Ron, who was dancing with McGonagall in HPGoF tongue.gif Anyway, i wish i could make a video, too... ponder.gif

I started this drawing of the veil a few months ago, promptly forgot about it, and found it in my sketchbook again yesterday. I want to finish it (by adding the rest of the lovely death room, etc.) but before I start I'll post it here for critique or suggestions or something.. I used black colored pencil which is hard to erase as you can see by my failed attempts at the little dais thing.

the dais doesn't look right to me... should I make it more 3D or something completely different?
