QUOTE(Annelise @ June 24 2005,00:15 ) I don't know if this counts as a product suggestion, but I would love to have an HP ringtone for my phone. Do you know where I can get one that is compatible with Nokia and works in the US? Maybe WB could help with that. Ringtones can be considered a product of sort and can even be classified as music if you want to stretch it that far.:wizard:
I have a solution
This is pretty easy really.
All polyphonic ring tones are actually midi tunes and there are many sites that have free midi tunes. You just need to download them and upload them onto your phone.
All Nokias from mid-range up, have a CDROM with software for your PC. One of these is for uploading tunes onto your phone. Thats pretty easy right? :wizard:
Some phones can use MP3's as ring tones and the same process above can be used.
These standards are pretty universal. I am in the UK, my previous phone, a Nokia is a Finnish design piece of kit that is a GSM/GPRS phone that is sold from North America, Europe toparts of the Far East. The standards applied by Nokia are the same everywhere you go. What is different is the frequency and the band used for each network. In the UK, it is very straightforward, but I know there are various providers and standards in use.
Same method works for any phone with software. Mind you Nokia are stingy with data cables, you have to pay extra for one.
WB won't help you get a ring tone, unless they sell them. Ring tones do attract legal and copyright problems. It is usually some unknown and un-named hero that spends their time with a keyboard plugged into their PC, playing the tunes and recording them. Some of them are very good and I have say that they are good.
I can't provide you with any links. Or WB will send legions of lawyers after me!!! :wizard:

I've found some Harry Potter ringtones online, but they weren't compatible with my phone. Go to google.com and search for them....
Annnnyway. Maybe there already is a product like this, but if they sold really soft scarves with like the Hogwarts symbols (gryffindor, ravenclaw, school seal, etc) I'd definately buy one. Same with the ties. I know I don't wear ties, being a girl, but maybe I'd start. The scarves in the movies just look really comfy....mmm
Okay, I just found the scarves that are sold. But they don't look nearly as comfy as what I'd imagined. :( meeeep

Add the following to my responses if necessary:
-in my opinion
-I apologise
-you've misunderstood what I've said
-I was only kidding
-sarcasm is your friend
Because seriously, what would Fred and George Weasley think of your reaction?

QUOTE(Kutipetuti86 @ June 25 2005,19:34 ) They're like $3 in the US...and I bought like 20 of them or some ridiculous number and then had to get a new phone. Go figure. But if anyone runs across any free Harry Potter ringtones compatible with motorola phones you know what to dooooo I would never pay for ringtones, partly because what they sell is pretty awful and not my kinda music. Also, you can't share what you've purchased. Having said that, I wish phone manufacturers put some decent tunes in their phones.
The MIDI tunes I've used for my Nokia 6230 all worked on my new Motorola V3 Razr. I can email the lot to you, but check your Motorola is compatable. If it is, just send me a message and I'll see what I can do.
I have following:
:apaw: Harry's Magical World (From PS) :apaw: Hedwig's Theme :apaw: Lumos (From PoA) :apaw: Several versions of 'Double Trouble' (From PoA)
Not a bad collection, bear in mind it has been some years since the LOTRs Trilogy and LOTRs MIDI tunes are very few.
Ciao :crest:
