WIZARDS DRESSED AS MUGGLES PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

Remember those fabulous outfits that wizards use when trying to blend in to Muggle society? Well, we want to see you dressed as a wizard dressed as a Muggle. Put on your craziest outfit, and then have a friend take a picture of you mixing it up with the Muggles! Sitting at a bus stop, for example, or checking out a book at the library. Go on, be brave! Don't send us pictures cooking dinner in the privacy of your home, or hanging out at a Halloween party...it's not as embarrassing as you think, people will assume that you are headed to a party, little do they know that you are shooting for a chance to win a contest!

Rules for Entrants:

1) All photography must be the sole property of the entrant. Any work found to have been plagiarized will be immediately disqualified.
2) All photography must adhere to a strict PG-13 content rating.
3) Limit one entry per person.
4) Photographs may be from digital cameras, or scanned "paper" photos, however they must be sent in by email. Email entries to contests@the-leaky-cauldron.org no later than midnight EST on October 31, 2007 Wednesday, November 7.
5) All photos are only accepted in .jpg, .png, and .gif format. Paper photos are to be 4" x 6" or 6" x 4" and digital photos of approximately the same length and width. File sizes no larger than 1 MB, please.
6) Please submit a short (no more than 100 words) explanation of your photo.
8) Please submit a name that you would like a winning entry credited to (first name, last name, or Leaky Lounge screen name).
9) Staff members of The Leaky Cauldron who are not involved in the adjudication process are welcome to submit an entry. Contest is open all those who are 13 or older.
10) Entries will be chosen for first, second, third place, and two Honorable Mentions.
11) Please refer to our FAQ if you are not sure of something.
12) If you have any questions, not answered on the FAQ, or would like to discuss this Contest, then please come to the Contest Corner Forum of The Leaky Lounge.

I believe that midnight tonight (est) is 4:00 am GMT? But is UTC the same as GMT?

I'm not really sure, those conversion websites confuse me! headdesk.gif

Yes, midnight EST is 4.00am GMT.
UTC is the same as EST.

Hope that helped!

If I had only had a camera with me in Hobby Lobby yesterday I would have had a winner! The woman was wearing madris plaid bermuda shorts, a hot pink with white polka dots tee and a chrome yellow and white floral blouse tied over it. Add to that hiking boots and purple striped socks! Teenager? NO! She was 50 if she was a day! Everyone just gawked!

Is it ok to take a picture of somebody else?

Galileo, Galileo, will you do the fandango? Thunderbolt! Lightning, and very very frightening. Donner, Blitzen, cabaret schnitzen. Grumpy, Dopey, Sleepy, Fart-face… Smack-head. And Kenneth.

We'd prefer if it was of you or some close friends, but you may take a picture of someone else as long as you gain permission to use the photo for the contest. We're not asking for a legal document where you and the person sign it, but we just want to make sure the person knows.

We don't send out confirmation e-mails, but as long as you entered the e-mail address correctly (contests@the-leaky-cauldron.org), you should be fine.
