Remember when you were back in elementary school and your teacher had you sit in a circle with a ball of yarn? The ball had a bunch of different colors tied together, and was passed from hand to hand in the circle. You ran the yarn through your hands as you told a story, and when you got to the end of your color (where the knot was)... you had to stop talking and hand the ball to the next person. They picked up the story from there.
Sound familiar? At least a little? It's called a storytelling game.
How about let's give it a shot, Hogwarts style for the holidays! I'll start a story, and I'll stop in mid-sentence, just as if my yarn color has run out. Whoever's next picks it up from there (also stopping without finishing) and we go around the circle. Ready? Set... Here I go!
Christmas Quidditch Chase
Harry waited anxiously for the whistle as the snow fell gently to the ground, feathering and waving on its way down. He gripped the Firebolt tightly in his gloved, numb hands.
"On my whistle," shouted Madam Hooch. "One... two... " Tweet!
The Gryffindors and Slytherins rose into the air, or at least 13 of them did, a blur of Christmas green and red on the wind. But... why wouldn't Harry's broom cooperate?
"Harry, come on!" shouted Ginny, diving low so he could see her red hair streaming behind her. "You can't --

-- let Malfoy get to the snitch first !"
"The Firebolt's not responding !" replied Harry. He tried to kick off frantically, but the Firebolt stubbornly remained where it was - a couple of feet above the ground, vibrating slightly in his hands.
Above, the Slytherin Chasers had already scored a goal in the few moments since the game had begun. No one except Ginny had spotted Harry still struggling on the ground. The Gryffindors were concentrating on the game trying their utmost to score themselves and stop the Slytherins from getting hold of the quaffle and vice versa.
There was a roar from one section of the crowd. Slytherin had scored once more. Harry was now getting desperate. Suddenly he saw the snitch fluttering about twenty feet above him to the right. Malfoy hadn't seen it as he was on the other side of the pitch. If only the Firebolt co-operated.......
"COME ON !" shouted Harry urgently above the howling wind, "WE'VE GOT TO WIN THIS GAME !"
It was as if he had he had given the correct password or counter-charm - the Firebolt zoomed up thirty feet into the cold air, but by the time Harry turned round, the snitch had vanished. Disappointed, but relieved that his broom was working again, Harry turned to look at Ginny who was heading towards the Slytherin hoops with the quaffle.
"Harry," screamed Demelza, "Look --

- Draco Malfoy heading for the Snitch which was a few feet from him.
He hurried to follow Draco but his luck was not with Harry, for his firebolt started to misbehave. It kept shaking terribly. Right, left, diagonal and upside down. It went went in every possible dierction but not in front. After a bit of battle with the broom, Harry managed to make it follow Draco. But oh! Draco had got the snitch. Or almost. For his fingers were closing around the tiny glittering ball .... but then - BANG! Harry's firebolt gave a gigantic lurch and collided with Draco's broom. Draco was almost knocked from his broom. He was left dangling in the air helplessly, with only his right hand grasping his broom. The snitch vanished yet again and Gryffindor had a narrow escape. "That was a close one Harry," said George as he flew by. "Just --
