I would say that all of those things were evil, but the torture of the Longbottoms was one of the evilest because when you die (( cause of the killing curse )) I've always thought it was w/o pain, but torture infeicts pain.

Great poll Pyxis !
I voted for the Potters' betrayal by Pettigrew. What that rat did is something I'll never forget or forgive. Betraying friends who trusted you with their lives is completely .......... I don't have words to describe it. Friendship is the most sacred of relationships to me and anyone who defiles that is the worst of the worst and beyond contemptible. To me, it is worse than anything even Voldemort did in his lifetime.
I'm not excusing his action or anything, but at least he was known to be a villian and didn't bother with the sheep's clothing when he came to kill James and Lily and Harry. Bellatrix, of course is despicable, but the same thing applies to her. She never pretended to be the Potters' or Longbottoms' friend, even if she did torture them into insanity.
Umbridge, of course, is quite evil in her own way. she positively took pleasure in harassing people under her power, and that's very bad. Greyback is another horrible person. Preying on small innocent children and making them werewolves too - how ghastly ! I would say it is as bad as killing them. Like towerdweller said, I don't know which was worse, killing them or turning them into werewolves.

I voted for DEs torturing muggles. Leave defenceless and unaware people out of things!

Galileo, Galileo, will you do the fandango? Thunderbolt! Lightning, and very very frightening. Donner, Blitzen, cabaret schnitzen. Grumpy, Dopey, Sleepy, Fart-face… Smack-head. And Kenneth.

Vandy, that was my vote as well, the creation of the horcruxes by Voldemort. Even if you take the murder part out of the equation (which is horrendous), just the idea of splitting your soul, of taking apart the very essence of yourself, well, that's just messing with stuff that shouldn't be messed with. And to me, all of these other things were tied to that act.
But, from the ones on your poll, The Rat definitely gets my vote. I don't think Peter was evil to start with. He was a coward. As Sirius said, "...then you should have died. Died rather than betray your friends, as we would have for you." I do think that once he got a taste of the protection of Voldemort's power though, evil became very attractive to him.
