QUOTE(SnitchWings @ Feb 18 2008, 01:44 AM) Have you ever thought about naming your child (or have named your child) after a character in a book? I had a few ideas over the past few years, and I'll share them with you. Please post your own, and TELL US WHY.
-Atticus Paul From To Kill a Mockingbird It may seem like a dorky name to some, but this is one of my all-time favorite novels. I think this name would be perfect to bestow on any boy.
That's all for me. Anyone else? Oh! SnitchWings! I once had a student whose mom named him Atticus after Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird! He was a an extraordinary young man, a good student, active in all sorts of things, aware of world events... an all around amazing kid. What made me smile especially? He was African-American! *smiles from the delightful memory*
btw... no one abbreviated his name nor ever mocked him! Yay!
