I'm in my high school choir, and I really love it, so I was just wondering if there are any other choir geeks out there!

If this is a duplicate or in the wrong place, feel free to move/remove it.

I love choir!!!! I am in choir at school it is my favorite class of the day! We have a concert tomarrow. We are singing alot of folk songs. We are singing korean, russian, and jamaican folk songs and they are just so fun to sing. My choir is also going to sing in Madison, WI and sing for some concert and then we get to have a tour of Madison. It is going to be so fun because I have never been there before! I heart.gif Choir!

I am a choir nerd, I auditioned for one of the higher choirs and I find out tomorrow if I made it.
Wish me luck! tongue.gif

There was a clatter as the basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermione's arms. Running at Ron, she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that lifted Hermione off her feet. Page 625

Good Luck!

I also found out today that almost all of my friends made it into the higher choir, and they didn't have to audition or anything the choir teacher picked them! She asked me to be in it a few months ago but this just makes it so much better!!!!!!!

badger.gif *raises hand* Guilty! I am a total choir geek. I represented my school at the All State choir festival last year (each school in the state can send students to participate in one huge concert with amazing music and some of the best directors). It was SO much fun!

I'm a former chior member. I had to quit after last year because the teacher of the class was extremely hateful towards me, but I miss singing dearly. My favorite parts of the year were when we got to do show music and dance while we sang. I still remember the dances from 4 years ago to the point where if I hear the song I still dance to them. smile.gif

Good luck bellatrix66! I hope you made it!

Good luck!

Choir's a big deal at my school, and I feel really lucky because I'm in our Concert Choir, and we get to go to Nashville this spring. Also, our director does a tour group every four years involving students and alumni that want to go...this year the group is going to Poland and Germany, and I'm part of it!!! I feel soooo lucky. squee.gif

I'm in it at school. I'd like to get more involved and do more with it though. I was already in the whole "musical kids" clique by association, and its a fun group of kids. I almost didn't take it this year and I'm glad I did.

I'd really like to try not singing in choir though lol. I've only ever sang with them. My first time singing on my own publicly was at play auditions this year, which wasn't bad but like seriously I just want to know how I sound for real.

Me too! It's kind of weird because I'm pretty good in choir, but choir singing is completely different from anything else...I have a funny feeling I'd be really bad as a regular singer. *abashed*

Hehe, aparently I am a really bad regular singer! lol.gif Actually, my friend was joking (at least I hope he was!). wink.gif Most people I've talked to have said I'm a good singer after hearing me sing, which is rare because I hate singing alone. Even if I was terrible at it, I probably still would sing because I just love it. One of the reasons I wish I was still in chorus is I the fact that we would learn new songs about every 3 months, which was nice because singing is just one of those things where I like having something new to sing. smile.gif
