How can they let Trelawney be editor! I just couldn’t let this go one without registering at least a word of displeasure. Divination is such a woolly discipline—hardly a discipline at all. I really can’t fathom why the normally intelligent mods in Leaky would permit this sort of thing!

Well, anyway, I am here to set the record straight and to provide a chance for all those who have any sense at all to respond to the fuzzy thinking that’s bound to happen. I’m certain that I am not alone in this regard. I am inviting you all to participate in a common sense forum. I’ve also invited a few of my friends from London, Hogwarts, and several other locations to join us. Now I'm certain that Professor Trelawney will be inviting people from "the beyond," but we will just have to see about that.

Instead of this imprecise art, perhaps you may be interested in discussing Tranfiguration, Ancient Runes, Arithmany, or any other academic topic. We could also converse on non-academic topics such as Voldemort's rise and how to fight him, magical forms of transportation, or how the Ministry of Magic needs to change. We could to talk about elf rights and the shameful the way that witches and wizards have treated house elves. They have allowed them to be unpaid, overworked, and under appreciated ....

Honestly Hermione! Folks don't log in to hear all that stuff. They want discuss important things--like the Chudley Canons and the new Clean Sweep racing broom. Let's all have a butterbeer and a bit of fun.

Oh, alright Ron. Really, you could wait until I was finished. As I was saying, any chatter should be fine so long as it isn't woolly headed rubbish.

Children, children! No sense in bickering, now, is there? We're straying from the most important point in this discussion.

Me.

I believe I have submitted numerous applications for being an editor here, and not a single one has gained a response! Perhaps I had the e-mail address wrong, or maybe the twenty I sent by owl post were addressed to a misspelled last name. Does 'Anelli' have one N or two?

I digress. I'll send a few more by e-mail and another dozen or so owls. I'd love to be an editor soon. I have great ideas for forum threads, like Gilderoy Lockhart's Guide to Seasonal Colours, Gilderoy Lockhart's Summer Safety Safari, Gilderoy Lockhart's Swimsuit Collection...

Oh, but I mustn't give all away here! Why, if I keep it up, I might as well just post all fifty-seven pages of my resume!

Hello, Gilderoy! bye.gif I hope things are going well for you these days!

Hermione would you explain exactly what Arithmancy is - I never took that class at hogwarts.

Are you a wizard, zacz? I am afraid that the discipline of Arithmancy is not fully-translatable to the Muggle way of thinking. However, if you consider a combination of all the Muggle High-math courses, and then make them 10 times more difficult, you might just be on your way to having a glimmer of understanding,

Please note, despite what our current Leaky Trial "Editor", Professor Trelawney, might say, Arithmancy is NOT the same as that ridiculous numerology-divination stuff. Not. At. All.

I'm glad there's a common sense thread tongue.gif but Leggers is right, divination's free and easy entertainment!! Unfortunately I can't be here all day, have some studying to do too, I'm sure you understand, Hermione! I hope I'll be able to come back here later!!

*shucks off invisibility cloak*

Phew! I think I managed to avoid being seen by Professor Trelawney on my way in here. I could hear her blabbing away about what was going to happen here on Leaky. She's such a batty old fraud I don't know why anyone's listening to her at all.

Why don't we talk about something more fun, like this April 1st tradition you muggles ... I mean normal people ... seem to enjoy. Or we could play quidditch. Who wants a game of quidditch with me?

Hey Harry, may I ask what house your son Abus was sorted into. I heard he started at Hogwarts last September.
