The Crafty Witches were thrilled when Sybill sat down with us and shared some of her favorite recipes that she had found in our files. Professor Trelawney foresaw that many would find enjoyment in these just as she has so now, without further ado, please find some of the most divine and fortune filled dishes to enjoy in your own home!
While we all know how much sherry and Sybill go hand in hand (or wine in glass), she also told us that on a cold winter night, this hot buttered rum batter recipe has come in rather handy as well as the hot frothy butter beer recipe When taking a break from gazing into her crystal ball, Sybill snacks on the wizard's cheese crystal ball found in this recipe, always good when served on these celestial crackers! Have any other recipes you think Sybill might enjoy? Post it below! Have you tried these? Care to share results? -------------------- |

I have it on good authority that Sybill likes these cookies while she's reading the stars! (They are pretty good with a little nip of Sherry as well)
Zimtsterne (Cinnamon Star Cookies) Ingredients * 3 tablespoons margarine * 1 1/2 cups sugar * 2 eggs * 1 egg, seperated * 1 teaspoon lemon juice * 2 1/3 cups flour * 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder * 1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg * 1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped (optional) Directions 1. Mix butter, sugar, 2 whole eggs, 1 egg yolk, and lemon juice until fluffy. 2. Stir dry ingredients together; blend into sugar mixture; stir in optional nuts. 3. Divide dough into 3 pieces, and roll 1 piece at a time to 1/16 inch thick on lightly floured board; cut with a star cookie cutter. 4. Brush the tops of the cookies with the remaining egg white, beaten until frothy. 5. Bake cookies on a lighty greased baking sheet 6-8 minutes until golden brown at 375°F. 6. Makes 6-9 dozen cookies depending on the size of your cookie cutter. -------------------- avatar by The Rockin Leaky Staff

Why, I have a rather famous recipe that I've never yet divulged to the public, though witches worldwide have asked for it. I suppose, in light of the celebration of the new... erm... "editor", that I'll finally reveal it for you all here.
Gilderoy's French Chocolate Dream Ingredients * 1/2 cup of butter *3/4 cup of sugar *2 squares of unsweetened baker's chocolate (or 1 large square... you know how they come in those large chunks sometimes? The one large one that can be split into 2 halves is plenty... I think.) *2 eggs *3 cups of whipped dessert topping *1 graham cracker pie crust (or whatever sort you prefer- i find the cookie varieties to be delightful) Directions 1. Cream 1/2 cup butter with 3/4 cup sugar. 2. Soften 2 squares unsweetened baker's chocolate (double boiling works best, I find) and stir in with creamed butter and sugar. 3. Add 2 eggs, one at a time, beat 5 min. after each addition on high speed. 4. Fold in 2 cups thawed whipped dessert topping. 5. Pour into graham cracker crust. 6. Chill until firm (2 hours) 7. Spread 1 cup whipped dessert topping across for topping. This post has been edited by Gilderoy Lockhart: Apr 1 2008, 09:25 AM |

This isn't exactly a recipe you eat, but it is something you have to cook up in advance in order to use.
Mix two tablespoons of tacky glue with one tablespoon of brown acrylic paint. (The shade will darken as the paint and glue dries.) Drizzle some of the mixture down the side of a paper cup (like a coffee cup). Lay the cup and a spoon down on a piece of wax paper. Now pour what's left of the mixture onto the edge of the cup and the spoon so it makes a little puddle. Cut a couple of mini marshmallows in half (it makes them look half-melted) and add them to the puddle. Let dry. Leave the "mess" on the couch or the carpet and wait for the "not me's" to start flying! Stand around the corner and snicker. -------------------- First The Webbies, then the World!

I had a good look through the past issues of Witch Weekly for a
I'm not sure where that is, or who Englebert was or why he needed enhancing - but you might want to try it anyway as she has something of a reputation and has published her own cookbook. Englebert's Enhancer, This is very good if you've been An interesting thing about fizzy tablets, they say, is that trolls can't burp and if you give one to a troll it will explode. In fact what really happens is that they will hit you really hard. So don't. * 175ml rasberry yoghurt drink * 2blackcurrant effervescent vitamin C tablets * 175ml cream soda Mix the yoghurt and cream soda in a pint jug or similar and then add the tablets. Stand well back and watch. When it has settled, drink it. Then go back to bed. I hope this works for you Professor and that you are soon back to fine form. *wonders if it was FredFan who took his barrel o' doxie dung* Well, just thought I'd pop in here to offer up me recipe fer a good hot butterbeer. I prefer the stronger stuff, meself, but this'll do in a pinch.
Just mix a cup or so of hot milk with a teaspoon of butterscotch extract and drink it down. Or, another version is to melt a couple of caramels into some hot milk and add a dash of vanilla extract. Both are mighty tasty. |
