I actually just got offered a publishing opportunity for an essay I submitted through a scholarship search. It was for Elder & Leemaur Publishers. They had 3 essay choices that you could pick from and write an essay under 500 words and send it in. The one essay gets judged twice, first for a publishing opportunity, then for the scholarship. If you go to their website and click on scholarships, you'll be able to see one that ends in July. Hope this helps. smile.gif

I'm gone for two hours and you send a search team?
I'd like to say I'm flattered but I think it's just obscene.
And I'm not just referring, to the shirts that are disturbing.

I've done the Elders and Leemaur scholarship smile.gif My essay was selected and published in a short anthology called "Authors of Tomorrow." It was really exciting, I highly recommend it to anyone. It's always worth a try biggrin.gif

There's another good one: The Commonwealth Writing Competition. You have to submit your enteries through your school. I submitted mine and am waiting for the results to come out. (When will July come!!) It's a well reputed competition and the topics they giver are very interesting. Worth a try.

This isn't what you're looking for, probably, but check out the Young Writer's Society. I'm on there, it's a brilliant place if you just want people to read your work and tell you what they think, they'll give you proper, in depth reviews about your stuff, and you do the same in return. It's not contests, but it's good for me.

Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.
