Are Harry and Voldemort from same ancestors?, Does Harry have Slytherin blood in him?

Being Eaten by the Pea Soup Posts: 20 Joined: 1:45am October 21, 2007 Location: India	In Dealthy Hallows, Harry said he was descended from Ignotus Peverell and in Half Blood Prince, Marvolo Gaunt said he was descended from the Peverells. Ashkenazi Jews are a much larger and less inbred community than Rowling's British purebloods, and it has been estimated that some 80% of them share an ancestor in the 11th century, a bit later than the founding of Hogwarts.

Kibble Boy/Girl at the Magical Menagerie Posts: 272 Joined: 9:13am August 11, 2007	They are, although it wasn't a very huge surprise to Harry Potter-- by the time he found out about his Prewett blood line, he was already well aware (and accustumed) to the fact that he had a more-than-mental-sync with Voldermort. Which I assume is one of the big reasons Dumbledore kept that information from Harry Potter, at any other time, the revelation of him and Voldermort being related in blood spirit and even mind, would have probably droven him mad. After all, in book 1 the simple fact that there was such a thing as lord voldermort drove Harry nuts. -------------------- Dumbledore has a posse. "Listening to the news! Again?"
