The Prequel !!!
Do I even have to say how I voted ??? I loved it to bits !
Am going to do a bit of grovelling now :
QUOTE Jo, If you ever read this, just know that there are people in this world who are eager with all their heart to read more of anything from you. Be it a weather report or an advertisement for hair oil; a recipe for rock cakes or an article about 17th century engraving techniques, it doesn't matter. Of course, anything to do with Harry Potter will be even more of a joy to have. So, please, please, please do write anything you wish - prequels, sequels, stories, whatever ! We love you so much !!!

The bit about the names was cute--and reminiscent of Fred and George.
I don't know if it's an intentional reference or a name she just likes, but Wilberforce was a staunch (British) abolitionist.
I kind of agree with Lord Monty. I would love to have a prequel, but I'd be afraid it wouldn't measure up to the original series. Visions of George Lucas are lumbering through my head.

My opinion on the prequel is thus...
I think the idea of a prequel to the seven books is a brilliant idea... I would prefer reading a full prequel to a full epilogue...
My reasons for this is, although i do find the last section of Deathly Hallows good and informative, i do think it lacks the spark and thrill to what i would get when reading about death eater fights against the Order etc. What the previous Order was like would be a very big part of this prequel, how they did things differently back then when only have a fraction of members in comparison to LV.
Dumbledore for me still has lots more to show i believe. Yes we do get to see a lot more of his true character in the HBP ( in terms of physical ability) and in DH ( in terms of childhood) but i would be interested in the inbetween part. What Dumbledore was like as a wizard, for example his fight with Grindelwald - what kind of magic he used. We rarely got to see DD in dueling action throughout the series, minus a little snippet of LV in the Ministry of Magic.
I find DD magical ability very much something of interest. To see this in action for the first war would be my wish granted
So yes a prequel is a good idea, but only if it was done in full, not little snippets.
