Oh you lucky thing! You got a pemier ticket?! This girl in my year always gets them for some reason because her dad is one of the main people at Sainsburys but she always complains about going, saying she hates Harry Potter! I wish she'd just give them to people who do actually like it! xxx

Welcome to the Leaky Lounge what a g33k! welcome.gif

I and some fellow Brit threaders went to the OoTP London premiere last July at Leicester Square. You can see some photos here on my Photobucket. smile.gif

It was awesome! We saw many of the actors and film-makers walk up the red carpet and even got a glimpse of Jo in her stunning gold dress. Though some of the autograph hunters pushed right in front of us, so we could not get any autographs. dry.gif Having four seasons in two hours was great. Real freaky weather that day. Afterwards we attended the LeakyMug at a theatre not far from Leicester Square.

You don't need tickets to attend a film premiere, unless you wanna watch the film LOL. But I would recommend getting there really early (like 7-8am) or sleeping rough in the square overnight. The queues to get in are always long and would probably wait there past lunchtime to get in. Its best to pick a spot early and stay there. The front is best. Our group waited near the barrier but once the actors started coming in the crowds massed on the barriers and anyone who is not directly at the front can't get a really good view.

But it is worth it though. biggrin.gif I loved how they were building the Ministry set until the very last minute, and the Death Eaters marching around the square. I will definitely be going to the HBP premiere in November, another opportunity for a Brit thread meet-up.

Oh you can still go and stand on the side to meet the stars. But you won't get to watch the film.

Well I found this guide here, on ehow but most of it seems like common sense to me and may not be much use. It seems to me that in the movie industry(well most industries actually wink.gif ) it's all about who you know and having connections. I know someone who got to go to an amazing star studded film festival but only because they know a famous actor, otherwise it wouldn't have happened rolleyes.gif

I really hope it works out for you though thumbup.gif
