As I reminisce at how the trio met, I noticed how they were outcasts and misfits in the wizarding world. And as the books progress we see more outcast and misfits find the trio and they become close friends.
In SoS, while people look at Hagrid as unusual Harry sees past his appearance and realizes Hagrid is a nice person and thats one thing I love about Harry. No matter how different people are Harry normally becomes their friend. Lets look at the most important characters that will probably help him in Deathly Hallows: 1. Ron- Ron is an outcast to the wizarding world because he has no money and to some he is a waste of pureblood. He has brothers older than him and he feels he has to prove himself to be top best. But Harry becomes to like him anyway despite Ron's flaws. 2. Hermione- Hermione is an outcast because she is a know it all and muggleborn. She has to prove to herself and the wizarding world that she is more than a muggle who is a witch. And with a rough start Harry & Ron accept her as a friend. 3. Neville- Poor Neville was a boy who has suffered the lost of parents because they do not remember him due to his past. If only Neville knew how close he was to being "The Boy Who Lived". Neville was a polite, shy and sort of weak boy who didnt do quite well with his magic. He thinks he has to live up to he parents and be as brave as them for himself and because his nutty grandmother. Now, if we the readers and to pick people to help Harry in the OoTP book to fight the Death Eaters we would probably not pick him but over the series Neville has grown strong and brave and proved why he is a Gryffindor. 4. Luna Lovegood- Ah..Luna. The only Ravenclaw in the bunch and the oddest one in fact. We hardly know anything about this odd girl(who i like) except that her mom died doing an experiment which she saw happen and she only has her father left who owns the Quibbler. People pick on Luna and take her things just to get a laugh and because she is different. She believes in creatures that appear to be not real and makes theories about the Ministry. Despite how different Luna is, she is in Ravenclaw so she must be very clever and witty. 5. Ginny- Ginny being the only girl in her family and being a Weasley, she is overly protected by her brothers and she is growing to be a lovely girl who Harry is quite fond of. People might underestimate her but I warn you dont get her angry she might use the Bat Bogey Hex to shut you up. 6. Harry- The Boy Who Lived himself is an outcast because of his history. He survived the killing curse Voldemort used on him and supposedly vanquished him. Leaving Harry to be an orphan and forced to live with his aunt and uncle who treat him terribly. But Harry has a gift to love no matter what he has been through. He has saw the good in people and now he faces a long journey to defeat Voldemort once and for all. 7. ?- Who is the seventh person for the gang? If seven is the most powerful number and there are seven books in the series, i would think it would be a good idea to make seven people in the group. Is this person an outcast like the rest of the gang? Some speculate Draco might turn good but Jo said Draco would not join right? So who will this person be? Or did I just skip a person? -------------------- When I think of it, its like a new adventure waiting to be explored. Everything that humankind discovers or tries to figure out leaves nothing for the IMAGINATION because there are FACTS to prove you right or wrong. But the afterlife makes you wonder: what next?

Hmm, if Jo said Draco would never join Harry's group, I don't think I've ever seen that quote. It's possible it could be Draco. He finds himself an outcast among DEs. He was never expected to succeed, he was supposed to get caught, or die trying to punish Lucius. With DD dead, but Draco unable to kill, LV is in an interesting position. Draco did set in motion events that allowed DD to be killed, but what use is a DE who can't kill? Draco is aware that he's in a nasty position and since his talk with DD on the tower, he knows he wants out. Perhaps with DD dead, and Harry understanding the situation, Harry may give Draco a hand. I'm not seeing Draco going straight to the front lines to LV, but it's possible he could help Harry or the Order eventually somehow.
Another guess I have is Susan Bones. Her family was notorious for fighting LV. Her late aunt was a remarkable person, and Susan herself was in the DA. LV has a prominant place in her family history, perhaps she will come out of the background. -------------------- "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?" ![]() Thanks for the use of the Garden image tanyal33! |

well if you're looking for a seventh i do believe Draco is it and i've never seen any quote determining his future.
Outcasts to me are more people like lupin, hagrid, dumbledore, sirius, harry, lv, snape. They are all integrated but for some reason can't be integrated fully because of their past/their personal history/or their choices. |

Three is also a magical number, and I think what we have here is two sets of three, not one set of seven that is short a member.

I know Ginny is part of their outcast group, but isn't she popular. I remeber Harry and ron talking saying Ginny was too popular for her own good and that is was only a matter of time before someone else asked her out. This was right after she broke up with Dean and Harry liked her (HBP)
Maybe, the seventh persons is Fred and George. In the OOTP movie when they are trying to find a location, isn't is Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Luna, Neville, Fred, and George? -------------------- " 'You said to us once before,' said Hermione quietly, 'that there was time to turn back if we wanted to. We've Had time haven't we?' "
