Greetings, you crafty Witches and Wizards!
Welcome to our Craft-Along for  . In preparation for July's HP movie release, we'll be making our own personalized tee shirts! Leaky Crafts has an extensive collection of designs ready for us, but feel free to come up with your own design as well. Everyone loves a tee shirt!Whether you have stenciled tees before or want to learn how, please grab your plain tee and join us! Our beloved former-Crafty Witch Jen (ofenjen) has done lots of designs, so you'll be seeing some useful info about the process pop up during the process ;) Tutorials: Stenciled T-shirt Making a Stencil in Microsoft Word Video, care of ofenjen: Stencil a T-shirt... G'afternoon, my crafty peeps! Super_Jenn here, fearless leader of the Crafty Witches, with some news to brighten your day.
After a nargle infestation that took so long to exterminate, I'm ecstatic to announce the LAUNCH OF OUR CRAFT ALONG!!!  That's right, with T-12 days to release of Half-Blood Prince it is finally time to grab your t-shirts and fabric paint and craft some Harry Potter awesomesauce to wear to the premiere!!!  Join in and keep us up to date with your progress here, and when you're done post pictures of your Wizard wear here. i'm begging my mum to get me, for my birthday to get me a t-shirt that says:

I am so excited for this Craft Along that, I dont think in fact a word's yet been invented to describe just how excited I actually am
 Apart from the terrible nargle infection causing me sirius Crafty withdrawals, I'm also extra excited because coincidentally I had just been talking with a friend about starting up t-shirt designing again. I used to stencil my own t-shirts with my own designs a few years ago but, it was a kind of phase or something because I just quit doing it. But, it was really fun, and I'd just been saying about buying new fabric paints (because my old stuff is all dried out) and then I saw the Craft Along is back and doing t-shirts, how cool is that

I believe you can count me in for this one too!!
I believe it's time to bring my dear boyfriend up to date on the HP series. He hasn't seen the movies since PoA, and I think I'd really like to bring him to the premiere this time around. Obviously that means I'll be going in costume (Molly Weasley WOO HOO!!), but there's no chance of me being able to convince him to put my Ravenclaw robes on in a million years. So, I'm thinking of taking one of his t-shirts and stenciling "Muggle" on the front and "...Going out with a witch" on the back in a cool HP-inspired font. Should be quick and fun, and even if he'll never wear the t-shirt again, it would be worth it! -------------------- |
