Yay CAL!

I've been wanting to do a chandelier stencil for some time, so I thought it could be incorporated into this somehow. Have a cornish pixie hanging from it maybe? It's not very HBP, but it's understated HP.

Would love to know what everyone else is doing!

That sounds SO cute, Tammy - I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I went shopping for fresh supplies on Friday, so I'm hoping that I find free time to work on some stuff of my own this week.

Just in case anyone is interested I developed an "Elvendork" stencil a while back. It's in the queue to be coded for Leaky, but in the meantime you can find it here!

Here's a close-up of it:

Haha Jenn that stencil is awesome. And that is some full on glitter paint you've got there, it looks like it's been printed!

I think I'm gonna go with the cornish pixie and the chandelier. I really should be doing other work tomorrow, but I know I'm going to be shopping for supplies!

If you upload them to an online photo album, you can then copy the link they will give you with the coding already included and simply paste it in a reply.

If there's no link with coding, then copy the location link under your photo and click on the little image icon above, paste the link into that and click ok then post the reply.

Hope that helps smile.gif

It's actually black fabric paint. I just sprinkled glitter on it while the paint was wet and let it dry in there. It was surprising how well it worked!

Well, a water gun sounds like an enjoyable choice! fool.gif

Just kidding, of course, I would never spray a poor kitty with a water gun. wink.gif

I always slide a piece of cardboard inside my shirt to prevent the paint from bleeding through. If you do this it makes it portable while wet, so you could always move it somewhere they fear to tred!

ETA: welcome.gif to Leaky, by the way - we're so excited.gif to meet you!

Wow, good luck with the crest! I've always wanted to stencil a crest but just haven't had the courage to attempt something like that.

It'll be awesome once you're done, can't wait to see it!

the stencil was slightly better, but there were still a few little pieces and i didn't really like the way it was looking after i cut it out.

that being said, i've changed my idea slightly. i'm still doing the "wit beyond measure"quote on the back, but i'm doing just the eagle. i'm putting the eagle on the back because i realized how tight the shirt was across my tummy when i tried it on this morning. sad.gif i don't want it getting stretched out and funny looking.

I tend to run into that problem with designs on the front as well. But it sounds like its going to be an awesome Ravenclaw shirt when you get done!

Hey guys I was just wondering, has anyone tried the glue 'screenprinting' technique? And does it work well?
tongue.gif I know this is a stenciling CAL..but chandeliers are hard to get your head around when you need to include bridges =/

I've checked out that method, Tammy, and seen other people's results, but I've never taken the plunge myself. It just seems a little much for a t-shirt to me.

If you decide to try it let us know how it goes - you may talk me into taking the plunge! lol.gif

Yeah I've seen it around for quite awhile now. It would be awesome for things like highlights or reflections. And probably for cursive writing, too.
I might give it a go next week - still working out my design!

So I still havent even started my tee yet *shuts ears in oven door* The finished shirts in the other thread are so awesome. I have designed a text to stencil, I was thinking of doing a DD quote but, I couldnt choose one, I might still do something involving the HPA WWDD slogan but, I cant get the design to work that I had in my head & I cant choose a DD quote because I love them all so, I've gone with something simple. Because it's for the movie release I'm doing a slogan in two parts, HBP (in the HP font) BE THERE <--- this is going to either be on the front or, if I do a long sleeve shirt on one sleeve & then on the back or on the other sleeve OR BE A MUGGLE
(no offense to muggles intended)

(I'm also making a Doctor Who stencil design but, I cant figure out how to get a recognizable Tardis lol) (I'm doing THE ANGELS HAVE MY <--- this is on one sleeve, then, on the other sleeve will be a Tardis if I can figure out how and PHONEBOX)

I have one cut out, but can't decide on which solid shirt of mine to put it on. I might have to just go buy one smile.gif
