Hailing from Germany, a self-professed "Snape-obssessive",
this winter's Featured FanArtist uniquely captures the pathos of that most enigmatic of the Potter characters,
and also lights up the canvas with colour, humour, and joy --

I love how she can take a canon moment (like this one from Goblet of Fire) and with a turn of phrase make it into a masterpiece of fanon humour and wry wit!

You can find more of anni's work on her artsite: http://www.forgotten-fantasy.de/sketchblog/. Also, check out her LiveJournal: http://strawberry-acid.livejournal.com/, and deviantART albums.

What do YOU like best about anni's amazing fan art? Which Snape is your favourite? Take a look and tell us more! artist.gif

I just looked through her awesome art and I found a few pieces that I really liked! My favorite character is Ron, but I love the rest of the Weasley family too!

So my favorite is this one of Charlie and Bill:

I don't like any of the Malfoys at all, but this stunning one of Draco is amazing!

Those are my two favorites but there is so many more that I really like! anni is such an amazing artist!

Live in the present, remember the past and fear not the future, for it doesn't exist and never shall. There is only now ~ Saphira

Those are 2 of my favourites too, Kendra!

The thing that really sets anni apart is her ability to alter her drawing style to fit the particular tone of the piece and characters involved. As far as I am concerned that is the mark of a true artist! Just look at how different those two above are from one another. I would never have guessed they were by the same artist. Just awesome!

I agree with Hagiographer13 that anni works in a kind of emotive style, with the character's personalities coming through in the art. I like this one of a young Lily Evans taken on her Muggle camera by James. Lily seems lost in her thoughts in this picture. The hazy style makes it quite realistic. smile.gif

I love LOVE this image:

This piece seems to be a bit of a different style, with the predominance of the black, and I really like the end result. The silhouette is amazing, and I can almost feel the wind coming off the page. While I am not a Snape lover, I love this Snape art!

This is may be my favourite piece by anni! The subtext behind the bloody footprint is amazingly vivid--great fore-shadowing! Be sure to check out the full-size version here in the TLC FanArt Gallery!
