No, the director for HBP hasn't been announced. No, not all the kids have been "officially" signed on. No, it hasn't started filming yet.
But - there *has* been a release date for HBP announced, and if Warner Bros. is starting to think about the HBP film, I'm thinking we should too. HBP is a long, vivid book with literally hundreds of images, and as the film draws nearer (perhaps when it is less than a year and a half away  ), we'll start seeing loads pictures from that flim - which one are you most looking foward to seeing? Among a few possibilities:Perhaps you can't wait to see the Gaunts - aka the least hygenic family Harry has ever had the misfortune to stumble across. For discussion as to who would perfect to bring the image in your head of Merope, Morfin, and Marvolo (nice alliteration on Jo's part, eh?), you can check out this thread in the Argent Scrim's forum. Slughorn is described as looking a little like a walrus, with a shiny head and a silvery mustache - certainly *my* dream guy.  Slughorn is one of the few main characters it takes us until the sixth book to meet, and it looks like he's going to play a big part in Book 7, so I, for one, cannot wait to see him! For discussion on who ought to be cast as Slughorn, take a trek on over to our friends at Argent Scrim's again right here and vote!Then, of course, there's the battle atop the Lightening-Struck Tower. The infamous battle - the climax to book seven, and perhaps one of the most talked about/beaten to death with a wet noodle scenes in the entire series, and come Movie 6, we'll get to see it played out in front of us.  There are many more images that will be in Movie 6 (obviously - it's a 600 + pg. book!) but these are the highlights! If there's something else you can't wait for, be sure to vote for 'other' and tell us what it is! This film has the potential to be the best of the lot. Lots of new characters, flashbacks and action, but absolutely nothing will beat the denouement - Snape murdering Albus on the tower
 !!Alan Rickman at his snarling worst and Michael Gambon showing why he really was a great choice for DD. The special effect where DD's body is suspended in air before he falls over the edge is the image I want in the Gallery! |

I voted for the Lightning Struck Tower as well.
It's such a huge moment, I can't wait to see Alan Rickman in that scene. The Harry/Ginny kiss has to be my 2nd most eagerly anticipated image. How cool is it going to be seeing that finally happen?!

Oh, this one was really hard for me! It was between Harry and Ginny's kiss
 and the Lightning Struck Tower  ... I am also waiting for Dumbledore's funeral I ended up voting for the kiss though

The Lightning Struck Tower for me...though I really want to see them all.
 It has to be the most important scene in HBP, it is the scene that everyone will remember.

Wow, they are all scenes I'm really looking forward to watching on screen! I voted for the Unbreakable Vow, mainly because I'm having a hard time trying to imagine how it would look like and I'm hoping the movie will help me to get a clearer image of the whole thing! I really also want to see the scene with Snape and DD on the Tower, as well as the one with Voldy asking DD for a job! And I'm 100% sure that I WILL cry again if I watch DD's funeral on screen!

I want to see the "Cave" scene. Every time I read that part, I get chills - freaks me out!!! And I know what's coming! I think this is the darkest part in any of the books. Also want to see the tower fight - the order against the death eater.
