Q1. Harry becomes 11 years old in book one. The Dursleys do not pay much attention to his birthday. For his last birthday, the Dursley's got him a pair of Uncle Vernon's old socks and something else. What was it? No, here you are mistaken, see Q.2
Q2. Who buys Harry his very first birthday present? Me of course! I'm just thoughtful like that!
Q3. In book two, Harry has a pretty miserable birthday. Who does he meet in his bedroom? The wonderful, magical me! (the beginning of a beautiful friendship, although, I admit, he stumbled at times.)
Q4. Vernon and Petunia are entertaining guests on Harry's birthday. Who were they? This, I'm afraid, was also me. I daresay I was there out of concern for the young lad.
Q5. In book three, Harry gets some good presents from his friends. What does he recieve from Ron? I'm disappointed, wrong again. The good present was from me! I mean, who wouldn't love a few signed photos?
Q6. What does he recieve from Hermione in book 3? Ahem, see above.
Q7. What does he recieve from Hagrid in book three? If memory serves (and it always does), Hagrid wanted to copy my wonderful gift and also attempted to send a signed photo. Failed though, should have known.
Q8. In book four, Harry turns fourteen. How many birthday cakes does he recieve from his friends? Well I didn't send him anything that year. Can't have the boy getting a big head now, could I? I must say, he already was before I met him.
Q9. What sort of bird deliver mail to Harry from Sirius, who is on the run in book four? No, no. The correspondence was from me. Honestly, where are you getting your sources?
Q10. Harry seems to have spent a miserable birthday in book 5, because the story begins in August. What did Hermione write inside his birthday card? Well I think that's not even important now, is it? What does matter is that he was miserable because I was not teaching that year! Fretful circumstances, really.
Q11. What did Hermione and Ron send Harry in the fifth book? Your sources need checking up on.
Q12. Where did Harry celebrate his sixteenth birthday, in book six? With me! Of course!
Q13. Remus Lupin tells Harry that two shopkeepers from Diagon Alley have been kidnapped at Harry's sixteenth birthday celebrations. One was Ollivander, the wand-maker. Who was the other? Kidnapped, no you heard wrong. They were discussing me. Harry you see, was still distraught that I was absent from teaching. Poor lad.
Q14. In book seven, Harry comes of age. Harry is given a watch by Molly Weasley. Who did it belong to? Nothing like a good birthday present to cheer you up! The rumors have gotten around I see. The watch, as you may have speculated, came from me!
Q15. What was the title of the book that Ron gave Harry? An interesting story, I'm sure you would like me to tell it. Poor Harry lost my collected works a few years back and Ron, bless him, wrote to me begging I sign another set for him. I obliged, naturally. The pain it must have caused him to go without those!

I didn't see number nine but when I hghlighted it I knew what the question was, so I gave myself that one. I couldn't remember the name of the Dursley's guests so I just wrote business people and I said three or four birthday cakes. But I still got 13-15. biggrin.gif

I got nine (of the questions at the top of the topic). Now, if I took Gilderoy Lockhart's version of the quiz, I'm afraid I'd have a zero.

Gilderoy, I could almost think you've been giving information to Rita Skeeter!

OH GOD! I feel so embarassed! I only got 9! I thought I would be fine, no questions asked! I said 3 cakes for his birthday, not four. I knew they were beautiful strange birds that brought Sirius's bird, but for some reason I thought it was a magical creature and I couldn't remember the name. I forgot wha Hermione and Ron sent Harry in the 5th book, I completely forgot where Molly's watch was from and I had NO idea what the title of the book was!

So questions 8, 9, 11, 14 and 15 I sucked tongue.gif

Great Quuiz biggrin.gif !!!

Well only 8-9 for me. 8 I got for sure, 0,25 I gave myself for the watch, as I knew who it came from but could not remember the proper name.
0,75 I gave myself for the cake question.I got 3 cakes right with the persons, but I thought from Hermione he only got sugar free candy stuff because of her parents being dentists - or was that another occasion???

I could not remember the coat hanger, no chance. And I also completely blanked on the Egypt trip-Sneakoscope and also the chocolate boxes, jee. As for Hermione's letter I thought she had sent something like that in one of her letters but I did not think it was in her birthday card. So i gave me 0,0 for that as well.

Anyway it's a Hogwarts birthday and that is good enough for me. wink.gif

I've got 12, missed the dursley gift, what Hermione wrote in his card and what did Ron gave him for his 13th birthday (even if I consider it obvious when I read the answer!)

--------------------
"Did anybody else we know died?" Ron Wesley
"She needs to sort out her priorities" Ron Wesley
"Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head? - "Of couse it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real? "

Why would I care what Potter got for his Birthday? You should hear what I got for mine!

On my 11th birthday I got a Cleansweep 7 Broomstick from Father and a ton of sweets from Mother. Also I got a birthday card signed by Cornelius Fudge himself.

On my 12th birthday I got a set of gobstones made of alabaster inlaid with diamonds. Father gave me a Nimbus 2001 and arranged a place in the Slytherin Quiddich team.

On my 13th birthday I got a Abraxan flying horse, a full set of dragon hide riding gear and the Hand of Glory I had been nagging Father for since the year before.

On my 14th birthday I got a training session with the England Quiddich team in their work-up to the World Cup, a 12karat diamond encrusted brooch in the shape of a snake, and Father and I went to the Ministry where we started making some useful contacts for me to make that Potter's life difficult. I also got a new set of Dress Robes.

On my 15th birthday I got my own vault at Gringotts with a personal goblin to do my finances. I also received a rare fwooper in a gold cage with diamond and emerald detail work.

On my 16th birthday I made a new friend and joined a very prestigeous group of powerful wizards.

On my 17th birthday I got parole with a warning that if I am found to be in the company of Death Eaters again I will spend the rest of my life in Azkaban. That wasn't such a great present, but it was better than the alternative.
