But Harry has celebrated some birthdays through the series, and got some unusual presents. How many do you remember? Questions Q1. Harry becomes 11 years old in book one. The Dursleys do not pay much attention to his birthday. For his last birthday, the Dursley's got him a pair of Uncle Vernon's old socks and something else. What was it? Q2. Who buys Harry his very first birthday present? Q3. In book two, Harry has a pretty miserable birthday. Who does he meet in his bedroom? Q4. Vernon and Petunia are entertaining guests on Harry's birthday. Who were they? Q5. In book three, Harry gets some good presents from his friends. What does he recieve from Ron? Q6. What does he recieve from Hermione in book 3? Q7. What does he recieve from Hagrid in book three? Q8. In book four, Harry turns fourteen. How many birthday cakes does he recieve from his friends? Q9. What sort of bird deliver mail to Harry from Sirius, who is on the run in book four? Q10. Harry seems to have spent a miserable birthday in book 5, because the story begins in August. No, here you are mistaken, see Q.2 Q2. Who buys Harry his very first birthday present? Me of course! I'm just thoughtful like that! Q3. In book two, Harry has a pretty miserable birthday. Who does he meet in his bedroom? The wonderful, magical me! (the beginning of a beautiful friendship, although, I admit, he stumbled at times.) Q4. Vernon and Petunia are entertaining guests on Harry's birthday. Who were they? This, I'm afraid, was also me. I daresay I was there out of concern for the young lad. Q5. In book three, Harry gets some good presents from his friends. What does he recieve from Ron? I'm disappointed, wrong again. The good present was from me! I mean, who wouldn't love a few signed photos? Q6. What does he recieve from Hermione in book 3? Ahem, see above. Q7. What does he recieve from Hagrid in book three? If memory serves (and it always does), Hagrid wanted to copy my wonderful gift and also attempted to send a signed photo. Failed though, should have known. Q8. In book four, Harry turns fourteen. How many birthday cakes does he recieve from his friends? Well I didn't send him anything that year. Can't have the boy getting a big head now, could I? I must say, he already was before I met him. Q9. What sort of bird deliver mail to Harry from Sirius, who is on the run in book four? No, no. The correspondence was from me. Honestly, where are you getting your sources? Q10. Harry seems to have spent a miserable birthday in book 5, because the story begins in August. What did Hermione write inside his birthday card? Well I think that's not even important now, is it? What does matter is that he was miserable because I was not teaching that year! Fretful circumstances, really. Q11. What did Hermione and Ron send Harry in the fifth book? Your sources need checking up on. Q12. Where did Harry celebrate his sixteenth birthday, in book six? With me! Of course! Q13. Remus Lupin tells Harry that two shopkeepers from Diagon Alley have been kidnapped at Harry's sixteenth birthday celebrations. One was Ollivander, the wand-maker. Who was the other? Kidnapped, no you heard wrong. They were discussing me. Harry you see, was still distraught that I was absent from teaching. Poor lad. Q14. In book seven, Harry comes of age. Harry is given a watch by Molly Weasley. Who did it belong to? Nothing like a good birthday present to cheer you up! The rumors have gotten around I see. The watch, as you may have speculated, came from me! Q15. What was the title of the book that Ron gave Harry? An interesting story, I'm sure you would like me to tell it. Poor Harry lost my collected works a few years back and Ron, bless him, wrote to me begging I sign another set for him. I obliged, naturally. The pain it must have caused him to go without those!
