Historic, beautiful, diverse Boston. What better place to host the First LeakyCon? Rich with the past with an eye to the future, Boston offers everything for the traveler, from sight seeing to shopping to swan boats. Yep. Swan Boats.

Some of you have lived in Boston, visited there, or are planning your very first trip. We have a great page of links available over at the LeakyCon site with details of loads of places to go and things to do. Be sure to peruse it while you plan your LeakyCon experience. It can be reached here as well.

Also, feel free to use this thread to tell us what you want to do, plan to do, or have done that is either A) the best EVER or B) not worth the effort, in your humble opinion.

I doubt I'll be able to get out of the castle the entire weekend rolleyes.gif but I'd love to go see the harbor. As a kid I was always fascinated with the Boston Tea Party...

Taking a harbor cruise on the Spirit of Boston ship is always a wonderful idea, Questauthor.

I don't know if there are any other fellow beer lovers, like me, on the board but I highly recommend taking the Sam Adams tour followed by the Harpoon tasting. Sure, these aren't the best craft brews out there by a LongShot (pun intended), but the tour and samplings are fun.

Two words. Whale Watch. They are amazing! I went on one when I went to Boston a couple years ago and loved it. They take a whole afternoon, but it is well worth it. biggrin.gif

Also, the swan boats are a must. Of course, being a huge fan of ducks, I probably loved it more than the average person. lol.gif

I agree. Yu must go play with the ducks. But just be careful because I've been attacked by squirrels and geese.
I'm a history nut so for my fellows there are tons of plaques everywhere to read. And visit the Lexington Green if you have a chance.

I have to say that Fenway Park in Boston is a highlight. The park is truly a fantastic historical place that any baseball fan would enjoy. Even if you are not a Red Sox fan there are so many great baseball moments that have occurred here, and just so much history to the park. They have tours for $12 for adults, and the park is easy to get to using the Subway. If your a Red Sox fan, they may even have a game here in Boston when LeakyCon is going on!

For more info on the tour feel free to check out the website here.

One of the events we are looking into is organizing a Salem trip. It will depend on how quickly the weekend fills up and all that fun stuff. But I really do want to go!!!

YEA, I also want to visit Salem. I want to visit the Salem museum. I am a history nut and being there where the witch trials were held would be so cool. I hope this little excursion can be included but will understand if time does not permit it. I may have to come in a day or two early to catch the sites of Boston.

Boston has a great Ghost Tour. I had friends come up and visit last summer and we took one, and had a blast!
