The second book in JK Rowling's series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, is a rich tapestry of different plot threads . . . many of which do not mesh to form their full picture until the final book, Deathly Hallows. There are charmingly evil villains, monsters, ghosts, bumblers and mayhem. With such a fabulous collection of characters and situations, how could the HP FanArtists resist?
We get our first glimpse of the polar-opposite fathers in the books, Arthur Weasley and Lucius Malfoy. Glockgal shows them in their rumble at Flourish and Blotts --
This is also our first aquaintence with the tireless and loyal houselves, specifically, Dobby. Here, by Laura Freeman, he visits Harry in the hospital wing, warning him of the horrific and deadly plot that has been set in motion --
This is also the first time in the series that the political under-current within the Magical world is seen. Headmaster Albus Dumbledore must bow to the decision of the Hogwarts governing board and step down when the attacks on Muggle-born students continue. FanArtist linnpuzzle shows him with his pet phoenix, Fawkes --
Finally, we meet the teenage Tom Riddle, who will grow up to be the souless monster, Lord Voldemort. Rotae depicts the handsome youth, with a truly dangerous evil-eye --
So, take a virtual tour of the Chamber of Secrets as seen through the FanArtists' eyes. The TLC FanArt Gallery is a magical place, like Hogwarts, where surprise and wonder lie around every corner. Which FanArt from CoS gets your imagination racing? Feel free to link to your favourites here, or upload to a hosting site such as Photobucket, and post the images themselve--and tell us why they move you.
