Legend has it that Ernest Hemingway bet his friends that he could write a complete story in only six words. His story? “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”
Based on the Hemingway incident, Smith Magazine challenged its readers to tell their stories in six words, which they've complied and are releasing in a book. Telling a complete story in six words is a quite a challenge. I know we have lots of writers in the Lounge; are any of you up to the challenge? Some examples: "No wife. No kids. No problems." "Cursed with cancer, blessed with friends." "Found one true love; married another." Remember, you're limited to six words.
