For Luna, if you have the time and energy, I highly suggest you do something like this. This is a friend of mine, Ann Laurel, at Lumos, obviously dressed as Luna. From what she told me, they bought a huge lion plush toy, opened it up, then glued/stappled/did-whatever-they-could-to-make-it-hold it to a hat. They also had to add strap to the hat, as it's of course very heavy on the head. In this case, the lion roars and his eyes light up when you press a paw. She was a total hit at Lumos.

Love the picture and i will borrow that one for party, my daughter is only 60 pounds, so the lion has to be small. Toys R Us has animals that make sounds if anyone is looking for roaring lions. Love the band-aid idea- you guys are amazing, thank you for so many ideas heart.gif

Yeah, that was a very big lion (probably at least between 5 and 10 pounds... on your head!), so if your daughter is small, I'd definetly get a smaller one.

As for Tonks, I saw a really nice picture of someone who had written on her jeans with Sharpies today. One of the writings read NT + RL and I thought it looked really nice!

And about the amazingness... blush.gif Thanks! And we'll be ever so amazing (or at least grateful) if you send us pictures of your costumes flowers.gif

I'm going to be a gringotts goblin for the release party at our library. i don't really know what to wear, though...

Along with the pictures Josée linked to for you, I had an idea for the ears.

You could get a headband the same color as your hair, and glue goblin-flesh colored and shaped foam ears to it so that they covered your ears. My youngest son is going to the book release as Dobby, and that is kind of what we're doing for him.

Hope it helps!

Jenn

Oh! That's a great idea, plus it's probably way cheaper (and easier to make!) than prosthetics!!

A member of my local meetup group and I had both inadvertantly planned Tonks costumes for the OotP IMAX movie. I just couldn't do that, so I pulled out my handy dandy Molly sweater made by dragonsinger954 and used this picture and made myself a costume.

Costume contest, here I come!

hydrangea your kids are adorable!

No idea what was going on with the links. I was about to post and say I couldn't get to your pics when you updated.

The radish earrings are so good...and my daughter has that lion. ;)

AND Tonks' hair...perfect! I love the "I <3 Remus" badge. Great job all the way around!

May we included your girls in the Leaky Crafts Gallery?

Absolutely, I am glad you liked them, just wish I could see my little Luna's picture-for some reason its not showing up for me.

I think it's working now. I'm not entirely sure why it wasn't working because the url looked fine. I actually just deleted it and added it back.

I meant to say before, the butterbeer cork necklace is excellent and I love the Quibbler headline. thumbup.gif
