This is the spot to discuss Normal Lestrange's essay titled: Cracking "The Riddle in Harry"

Author Bio

Normal_Lestrange lives in (often complains about being stuck in) New Delhi, India and spends his free time (and a considerable part of his "working" hours) trying to figure out the meaning of life. Which pursuit gets him called a variety of names -- which is why he chose this particular nick on Leakylounge.

His quest for the meaning of life has been put on the back-burner for the time-being -- he currently spends much of his time (free and otherwise) trying to crack the Potter code. Put more simply, his current mission in life is to work out the "meaning" of the Potter series -- to work out what's going to happen, what has already happened and what should follow.

He also spends a lot of time wondering just why he's compelled (sometimes finds himself doing this against his will and when has lots of "important" things to do) to come up with increasingly complex Potter-theories. He often gets the feeling that solving the Potter-mysteries will bring him a lot closer to the meaning of life in general.

This essay is about the part of the Potter saga which fascinates him the most. The strange connection Tom Riddle (better known by his assumed title) and Harry Potter share. It is something which often has him lying awake at night, worrying. This essay is the product of the questions and answers which his tired brain have thrown up during such times. Much of what is contained in this essay has already been posted in various Leakylounge threads -- often to the horror of many of the other posters.

He is, sadly, not a professional writer (though sometimes calls himself a professional dreamer) and so requests all readers to please overlook any glaring signs of a lack of wordsmithery. He is not ashamed to admit that he is a Muggle and lacks JKR's magic touch.

He also possesses a very thick dragon-like skin and is eagerly looking forward to any comments, suggestions and all forms of ridicule from readers of this essay. And he would like to take this opportunity to beg anyone who has worked out the meaning of life to please PM him with the answer.
