DD's Age and his past

does it say anywhere in the books how old DD is?? I just got a bit confused the other day when I was thinking about him helping Nicholas Flammel with the stone, if he's 600 years odd, then would DD not be a similar age? I'm sure he can't be that old, there's Alberfoth for starters, he would surely have to have extended his life and will shortly die too...maybe that's why DD's reactions were getting slower in HBP...someone prove me wrong
