We kinda sorta already have a Malfalda Hopkirk, Jessica Hynes (acted under the name Jessica Stevenson prior to marriage) played the disembodied voice of Miss Hopkirk in the note from the Ministry of Magic at the start of Order of the Phoenix. I'd say she'd get first dibs at an on camera appearance should the role arise.
I've said before that I would love if any of the old series Doctor Who's (with the exception of Paul McGann or Peter Davison) would take the role of Xeno Lovegood. In particular Tom Baker, he has the absolute perfect mannerism for Xeno. The only problem is, he is very old these days and might not be all that up for it. -------------------- avatar done for me by jeffhpfan

Yeah I'd thought that too, but I included Maflada's name on the list because WB has been known to change the actors who play minor characters from film to film.
Magicians Shaun of the Dead I do think we will see the Trio use Polyjuice potion to infiltrate the Ministry during the first DH film. It will be interesting to see how they pull it off. This post has been edited by Hagiographer13: Mar 21 2009, 05:05 PM -------------------- |

As mentioned on TLC Main the role of Mrs. Granger has been cast for the Deathly Hallows films.
QUOTE "They wanted to do shooting for the film on the press day for the play I'm in at the Old Vic which meant me being in the theatre all day. So, initially I couldn't do it. "So it looked as if the part was gone until the director came back and said that he wanted me for the part. They have now arranged new dates for the shooting which will take a couple of days. "I'm delighted as I've a lot of friends and family and their children who all love Harry Potter, so it's lovely to be involved. "I've never seen any of the Harry Potter movies or read any of the books," admitted Michelle, who now plans to watch the films and read the books in preparation for her part. "It's not a very large part, maybe three or four scenes which will take just a few days filming. But it's very nice indeed for me." -------------------- |

Hmmm, I always find it a tad irritating when certain characters get recast. I mean, it's not like we didn't see a Mrs. Granger before. Heather Bleasdale had some minor screentime in CoS and I really don't see the point why she couldn't have come back for DH, as well. But yeah, I'm not WB and therefore better stick to their new choice heh?
I have to admit Michelle Fairley is a pretty good choice though. She's got loads of experience in theatre (Othello, Macbeth) and various tv productions so I'm quite sure she'll do a great job. -------------------- 4 8 15 16 23 42 |

I am glad to hear that they cast a Mrs. Granger! One of the things I felt DH (the book) was lacking was some discussion of Hermione reuniting with her parents, and with this casting I get some hope that they will include this storyline a bit.
As to the casting of Michelle Fairley as Mrs. Granger, I never really had an image of Mrs. Granger in my head, so I can't really say if I like the casting or not. I always just imagines Mrs. Granter as a older version of Hermione, busy hair and all. I must say that I agree with yellowpepper2311 I don't really understand the point of re-casting, but again that's probably why I'm not a producer! -------------------- |

With rumours about that we may finally see Bill Weasley in DH, that leaves open many more questions . . .
The likely candidate for Bill is Brendan Gleeson's son Domhnall Gleeson -- ![]() Oh, the possibilites! This post has been edited by Hagiographer13: Mar 8 2009, 10:05 AM -------------------- |

I think he would make an AWESOME Bill!! I really really like that guy. I don't know how they will tie in a character in the very last movie. I don't want it to be like they just are trying to fit so much in that they didn't before that it is just a whole bunch of new things. *does that make any sense?* If they can do it well then that would be really cool!!

I also think he would make a great Bill. I do think he needs to be in HBP and he should be the one who is attacked by Greyback (not Mr Weasley as has been rumored). I hope they don't try to introduce too many characters in the DH movies without some sort of introduction in HBP so things won't be so complicated.

I think the attack on Mr Weasley at the end of HBP has been cut, the battle between the DA, the Order, and the Death Eaters also as one the attack would have been quite similar to that Arthur received at the fangs of Nagini in OoTP, and two to instead have a big focus on the Battle of Hogwarts in DH. Domhnall Gleeson looks like he would make a good Weasley to me. This post has been edited by moony_lupin: Mar 8 2009, 07:37 AM -------------------- |
