DH - What should they include?, plots, characters, scenes, and extra tidbits...

Okay, I'm not sure if one of these threads already exists, but I didn't see one. (If I missed it, apologies and feel free to close or merge this!)

But I model this thread after the, "HBP - What should they include?" thread.

- EVERY Severus/Lily scene!!
- The Severus-Dumbledore-Doe Patronus scene!
- Every Luna scene!
- The missing Lily scene from Snape's Worst Memory.
- The Harry/Hermione Horcrux!Kiss scene.
- The epilogue (with frizzy, freckled, redhead!Rose).
- A moving picture credit montage to show what happens during the 19 Years leading up to the epilogue, including things that happen to characters such as Neville and Luna, in addition to the trio.

They seriously screwed the Snevans shippers in SWM, so we deserve EVERY Snevans moment in DH, including the cut scene of Lily from OotP! Unless they're complete areses, the only reason I can possibly think to have them not include that in the deleted scenes is because they plan to weave it into DH somehow.

Luna is one of my most favorite characters in the entire series, so I want as much of her as humanly possible!

I'm not a Harmony shipper, mind you, but I just want to see Ron's reaction...that, and Dan/Emma have much more chemistry than Rupert/Emma and, especially, Dan/Bonnie. And if Luna/Harry can't smooch on screen, then I guess Harry/Hermione is the next best thing to keep the Ginny/Harry kiss from my poor mind. Although, since Emma is not happy about kissing Rupert anyway, I have my unfortunate doubs about the Horcrux!Kiss because it might be cut if Emma and/or Dan refuse to kiss each other.

I hate the ships, but I love Scorpius/Rose, so I really want the epilogue just so I can see what movie!Rose and movie!Scorpius look like.

And I doubt it'll happen either, but moving pictures during the credits has been suggested over and over by fans who want to know what happen to the other characters and just nice tidbits during the 19 Years, so I think it would be perfect! (Plus, Rowling would have her chance to "show" her extra information and it wouldn't leave the movie goers who don't read the books and follow the interviews confused.)

As always, I completely agree with you biggrin.gif That is one of my favorite Ron & Hermione exchanges -- when she hurls herself at him after basically holding her breath in anticipation for him to return. If I recall correctly, they hold on to each other all throughout Tonks' comments, until Ron reacts grumpily to her tone of surprise.

Scribbled -- I think there actually was quite a bit of humor in the books (usually courtesy of Ron and the Twins), and I hope that remains a part of the films. I love Remus too, and I hope the emotional Grimmauld Place scene takes place. Not sure about whether he'll show up at Shell Cottage, but that episode is definitely in the films -- there are already set photos of Shell Cottage if you want to check them out.

they've already confirmed shell cottage happens. there's been dozens of pictures from that whole sequence.

I really hope they show the funeral. After seeing the new concept art, I really want to see it imagined on screen. But I bet that won't happen, and I'll still love the movie.
I'm hoping they give all the characters that die a proper death scene. I don't want them to just have Harry walk in and see Tonks and Lupin dead on the floor. I want to see them die, as I feel like that would make it that much more emotional.

They're splitting the last film in 2 parts, I think it might be a little shorter. So I'm looking forward on seeing the funeral at the beginning of the movie.

I'm excited for the epilogue scene(ah! who's gonna play the parts!), Battle of Hogwarts and the Forbidden Forest. I hope they make those scenes extra special.

I'd like to see how each of them died: Mad-Eye, Tonks and Lupin; since JK didn't describe their death scenes much. I doubt they'll show Mad Eye, the focus is always on Harry, and they weren't together in that part.

So far, I don't think Yates will change the climax or the big moments. They're much too important to change, they should really leave that to what Jo made us. But the little moments, like ...My.God, there are few! Er, I guess, the Burrow parts, since he'd ruined it already. I hope he prepared something better.

Ugh, I just read a spoilery set report on HP4U about Bill & Fleur's wedding. I don't want to give anything away for those who like to remain spoiler-free, but I will reiterate my concern that DH 1, in particular, will make Ron look like comic-relief-turned-jealous-angsty-git. If we don't get to see some of the funny and sweet moments of comfort between Ron and Hermione, why would a movie-only audience believe she's actually into him? All right, I'll stop pouting and hope that the R/Hr subplot isn't oversimplified into "jealousy-bickering-brooding-<<snog>>!"

I just hope they will stick to the book regarding their escape from Gringotts with the dragon. I'm also very fond of the Lily/Snape story because I think it's very important to redeem Snape mostly because he has a big contribution to the development of the plot. Although, I must admit that I always had doubts regarding his loyalty to Dumbledore.

Yes, that's EXACTLY what I was referring to! It makes no sense, but early set reports are always vague, so there's a good chance there's more to the scene that we just don't know about... Oh well, at this point I'm just going to wait for the teaser, which I'm sure will come out before the end of the year.

I read in The Sun today that Jamie Waylett took photos of himself posing wih his cannabis stash. The article also said that Crabbe has been written out of the DH film, now this I didn't know.

Do you think it's true?

I don't think it's such a big deal if he has, they can just kill Goyle in the RoR instead, I guess. I only hope they put someone else in there with Draco and Goyle- perhaps Theodore Nott or Pansy Parkinson. it's important that there are three of them opposite the Trio.

i understand how annoying that must be - changing things in the book for movie purposes. sometimes it ruins the feeling that you felt while reading the book. Yates wanted to spice things up a bit between ron and hermione. we'll just have to wait and see if he did the right thing.
