Ok I just have a few questions:

    • Who took over the staffing position for Defence Against the Dark Arts after Snape died and the Carrows either died or were sent to Azkaban?
    • Is the job still jinxed/cursed?
    • Do you think the ministry will try and help with the DADA lessons (kind of like what they did having Umbridge teaching the class, but I was just wondering if they would want to help out because I think there would have been alot more deaths during the battle if Harry wouldnt have helped people get better with stunning spells and what not in the Dumbledores Army sessons)

I don't actually know who would have taken over the DADA post after DH but i don't think they would have had any problem filling it now that that LV was out of the way.

I can't imagine the position being Jinxed/Cursed still as the jinx/curse would have IMO died with LV.

I am not sure if Prof. Mcgonagall became Headmistress or not but i think its most likely that she did and with Kingsley as MOM i think there would be a mutal agreement between the 2 of them that interference at Hogwarts would be unnessacary

You're right. It was unjinxed after LV died. And I agree that the Ministry would not have a role in magical education. They messed things up too badly- I think they learned their lesson.
As for the new DADA teacher, I can't think of anyone right now. What do you think?

    1. It has never been revealed by J.K Rowling that who took the job and it would be foolish to make any gusses. But its certain that someone responsible and learned would have got the job.

    2. Jinxes or curses die with the person who cast them. Like Harry was able to move again after DD died, who had immobilised Harry. So that means that the DADA post beacme curse free after Voldemort's death.

    3. I think as the Minister for Magic, Kingsley Shakelbolt would have left the task of choosing and helping teachers of Hogwarts to the school Headmaster and governors. However, he certainly would have agreed to send Aurors to teach advanced defence to the students.

If he ever get tired of being head of the Auror office Harry would of course be a great professor of DADA.
He's already shown that he has a knack for teaching and there's a precedent for retired Auror to teach the class.

I would guess there were quite a few people who would have made competent DADA teachers but did not ask for the job out of self-preservation. (To the point that in the summer of 1992 Lockhart and Snape were the only candidates.) Perhaps after Voldemort's death some of them applied.

it's interesting that the curse didn't die the first time LV "died." there are probably people discussing that somewhere. but it has died now.

maybe one of the order would enjoy a quietish teaching job at hogwarts. i can't really think of anyone right off... dedalus diggle would be interesting, not exactly teacher material as far as i see... oooo, or maybe a weasley cousin! that would be fun!

Maybe Krum could teach after his quiditch career ended. He prefered Hogwarts to Durmstrang and Durmstrang taught Dark Arts.
