So many beautiful avatars/icons have come from fan art, and much of that fan art comes from right here in TLC's own Fan Art Gallery! This thread is a place to put those avatars for everyone to admire and use. If you post your icons in here (and we hope you do!), make sure to credit the artist by giving the artist's name and linking to either the original piece or the artist's website. That way, this thread can also be a way for people who like to make avatars to find other fan artists' work they might want to use in the future. Can't wait to see what you all come up with!
 Note: This thread is only for avatars made with fan art. If you have other Harry Potter avatars you'd like to share, please do right here. If you've got Harry Potter avatars that specifically relate to Deathly Hallows, pop over to this thread and post them there! * * * * * * Here are a couple of examples by Hagiographer13--

First off I want to say that Fan Art Avatars are truly my favorite ones around. I got into making icons because of Fan Art (specifically Marta's work) and I felt it could easily be addapted into icons. Some of my most recent Fan Art Icons are below
 using art by the wonderful Marta (known as seviet) whose art can be found here and  are icons featuring art by reallycorking an artist who has art in our own fan art gallery.One of the last icons I'm going to share is done with art by mudblood428 (who is also in our galleries!) This icon is just a small bit from her picture titled "And So Do I" a fantastic piece showing a moment between Dumbledore and Harry.

I wanted to present an avatar for each of our first three Featured FanArtists--
Our first FFA was Caladan. I did this avatar from her fantasy image of Albus and Aberforth at the Hogshead Inn--
For April, the featured artist was Elzora and her Hogwarts staff pictures. Here is Madame Hooch--
Our most recent featured artist is Hito. I was very impressed with her take on Harry.
It's nice to be able to see (and use) different visual impressions of the characters and scenes from these books we all love so dearly.  -------------------- |

I recently made this avatar
 using with Marta's (known as seviet) art (which can be found here) and this icon  with art by reallycorking of our own fan galleries for an icontest called ginny_challengeI really need to branch out and make icons that aren't of Ginny... But she's my favorite! -------------------- |

Here are a few of my avatars that I have made with FanArt.... (and yes, you can tell that I like Makani's work a lot.....)
One of my fave characters is Luna, and Makani drew her on top of a thestral with her magificent aloof face..... (I colored the drawing... luckily it's small enough you cannot see the mess...)  I dont ship as much, but I do have a favorite ship (which is cannon also!!!!), and I love the different interpretations of them from different artists, so here are 2 avatars of Hermione/Ron, one by Makani and the other by Hito   -------------------- Waiting for LeakyCon 09!!!!!

There was a clatter as the basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermione's arms. Running at Ron, she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that lifted Hermione off her feet. Page 625 |
