My List Goes As Follows:
1. DH - the action and adventure it was just great
2. OOTP - rebellious, ground breaking, and action packed, what more could you say?
3. POA - lupin and sirius, two great characters came to us in this book, great ending
4. GOF - the beginning of the end as voldemort takes human form, very gripping
5. COS - good fight in the end and we find harry is a true gryfinndor
6. SS - doesn't affect the other books very much, JK was just diving in
7. HBP - very confusing lots of talk, little action, disappointing

With 1 being the best?

1. HBP (Tightest writing)
2. GOF (Tightest plot)
3. POA (For the "Wow, she's getting at something" factor)
4. DH (Will top out a lot of lists, simply because it's the most recent)
5. OOTP (Lots of good stuff, kinda clunky)
6. SS (Good, strong.. short.)
7. COS (Weakest, but Rowling was still getting her writing legs)

I had to pick one to be the "worst". Mind you I love COS. smile.gif

"Ron, you know full well Harry and I were brought up by Muggles!" said Hermione. "We didn't hear stories like that when we were little - we heard stories like 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' and 'Cinderella'-"
"What's that, an illness?" asked Ron.

3. POA - meeting Sirius, very surprising ending
4. GOF - the return of Voldy
5. HBP - really good writing, young Riddle and Harry finds out his mission
6. COS - the first time we see a Horcrux
7. SS - eh, you know it alright just not like the others.

Let's talk about why they're ranked that way:

1. DH - Loved the emotional content and the (to me) unexpected twists, and finally knowing why things happened the way they did. The entire journey towards death is captivating.
2. OotP - Darkness appeals to me. I loved how depressing and dark this one was, all the despair and fighting battles one didn't expect to win. And the chapter The Lost Prophecy is amazing.
3. HBP - So well-written! Unlike the previous books in how it unfolded and the kind of story it told. The pensieve scenes were fantastic. And the Horcruxes chapter. Can't read the last few chapters without bawling like a baby.
4. GoF - My first favorite. So unexpected, and the horror of the last part of the book still haunts me.
5. PoA - Introduction to Lupin and Sirius. Need I say more?
6. SS/PS - Still a great book, even after several rereads. This one sets the stage for an awesome journey.
7. CoS - Ugh. Don't really like this one very much. It's part of the series, but not enough heart.

1. HBP
2. PoA
3. GoF
4. SS/PS
5. CoS
6. OotP

This is my list now but it is always changing. It is still too early for me to tell where I would put DH but I don’t think it will make my top 3.

wizard.gif My List:

1. OOTP. an all time favorite, to me it really started the deep, depressing and amazing story of Harry hunting down LV. also tons of good new characters (like Luna!)

2. DH. very captivating, tons of action (even tho the camping part was alittle long), frindship, love, trust, forgiveness-all wrapped up beatifully in this one(Snapes story, like omg). also we really saw more stuff bout all the characters. and of course my R/Hr. ship sailed!!

3. POA. meeting Sirius, Lupin, lots of good stuff.

4. HBP. i dunno why really i just think it is. i guess really good writing from JK (i mean its always good, but this one was exeptional!)

5. GOF. it kinda tied with HBP, i couldnt decide but then i think i like HPB a little weensy more. LV comes back, starts the journey of terror as the Dark Lord starts to reagain power.

6. COS. it was good, but short. and we're only a bit into the series here, JK's still warming up i guess.

7. i hate to say it, but this one wasnt good enough, especially after what we've seen in the other books. however its still Harry Potter so of course a like it, but not as much as the others.

well, it was really hard deciding o some of them, but i guess thats it.
yeah, but i love them all really!! heart.gif read.gif

1. Deathly Hallows-Beautiful book, great way to end the best series in the world, so many touching lines...
2. Prisoner of Azkaban-Well, actually, my 1 & 2 are basically tied, but...I loved how we went off the Voldemort track for a while. It was nice =D Instead we really got to see Harry grow up for the first time and meet his godfather
3. Order of the Phoenix-REBELLION AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT!!!! What's not to love? lol.gif I also loved how Jo portrayed Harry feeling alone and him turning into an angsty teenager
4. Goblet of Fire-When the books first saw darkness, really. Killing of Frank and Cedric and Bertha. Dark Mark. VOLDEMORT. Love the book =D
5. Philosopher's Stone-First book. Introduced us to Harry (and his courage), Hogwarts, and Magic. Yippee =D
6. Chamber of Secrets-I actually don't really prefer PS to CoS, but if you are making me choose...I love the book. Gilderoy is HILARIOUS.
7. Half-Blood Prince-I found a little annoying. It was everyone not believing Harry that Malfoy was after DD and had been made a Death Eater. Harry trailing Malfoy...pretending to be good at potions...obnoxious Ron/Lavendar plot line =( I did love all the Half-Blood Prince stuff though, and that was the important stuff, eh? (sheesh, I'm like the only person who didn't like HBP!!! *ducks to avoid angry mobbers*)
