Another day, another poll biggrin.gif !

What was your favourite film poster?

Now I know that there were literally tens of posters for each film, so for ease of use for the poll, I would like people to choose between the 4 official posters, ie, those covers that were also used on the DVD's.

So for the Philosophers Stone, we had the tagline "Journey beyond your imagination", and a large image of Harry, surrounded by headshots of DD, Hagrid, Hermione, Ron, Snape and McGonogall. Also shown were floating candles, the Hogwarts Express and Hogwarts.

Chamber of Secrets had our heroic trio bathed in a eerie green light. Harry holding GG's sword, Ron holding his broken wand and Hermione holding a book. Dobby was shown at the bottom and the tagline was "Something evil has returned to Hogwarts!"

The Prisoner of Azkaban movie poster, again, had the trio of Harry, Ron and Hermione, with Sirius and Hogwarts in the background. Harry is holding the Marauders Map and posters saying "HAVE YOU SEEN THIS WIZARD?" are in the bottom right. The tagline here was "Everything will change". Also shown are Crookshanks, a Dementors hand and the talking heads from the pub in Hogsmeade.

Goblet of Fire showed the champions, plus Ron and Hermione, with the stands for the second task in the background.

Order of the Phoenix focused on the DA and rebellion against authority, with the prophecy globes featured in the character posters.

Half Blood Prince is centered around the action in the cave (so far) with a nod towards Harry's Horcrux Hunt.

Which film had your favourite, and which ones didn't you like.

I am really surprised at this. The CoS film poster is gorgeous. The one I really dislike is GoF. They all look too fake, especially Emma Watson who is so beautiful in real life, and yet looks as if she is made of plastic.

The poll isn't working for me... sad.gif

I like SS/PS the best. IPB Image <-- That's the cover on my dvd. I like the layout of it. Harry in the center, with Dumbledore, Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, Hedwig and Griphook (not sure why he managed to get on the cover but oh well) surrounding him. The Hogwarts castle in the background silhouetted against the moon. And to the left of Dumbledore you can see the little boats with the first years crossing the lake. There's also the little drawing of Quidditch right above Dumbledore's head.... I just think it's pretty cool.

My second favorite is Chamber of Secrets. It's a very close second. I think the only reason I like the Sorcerer's Stone poster better than Chamber's is because Stone's has more detail in it.

Third for me is Prisoner of Azkaban, and still I like this one very much too. I had it as my desktop background on my computer for a year. This one has a lot of little details in it also, which I love.

And lastly is Goblet of Fire. This is the only poster that I'm not very fond of. I agree that everyone on the cover looks a little fake... like they're made of porcelain or something. I just don't like the layout. I like this poster better than the other one. It has Moody in the background, and Harry fighting the dragon... I wish it was the dvd cover....

Edited to fix link.

It depends on the poster. They have so many different posters at the moment. I do have a favorite GOF and POA ones. I will have to look them up and post them.

I've had the Philosphers stone poster (the one with all the kids in boats, floating towards Hogwarts as my screensaver for the last couple of months. there's something wonderful about it, the water, Hogwarts looking exciting, the lanterns on the boats. hagrid filling his tiny little boat, but the others fitting at least 2-3 kids in sorcerer.gif A great look

They released tens and tens of different posters for the Prisoner of Azkaban movie. You'll find many of them here.

I love the one of Draco and Snape, but I wonder why they put Hermione in there too with the tagline, "Character will be tested."?

I chose the PoA poster because there are so many elements to it. It's has a lot of features to it, I enjoy the SS poster for this same reason. I just like the PoA poster because it appeals to me more so than it does the others.

That is probably the one poster I disliked the most wink.gif ! I thought it drab and lacking in any artistic direction, but then I haven't really liked any of the GoF posters.
