Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire marks the mid-point of the series. It is, of course, the major turning-point of the story, as it brings the return of Voldemort to the flesh. From this point on Harry is no longer the Boy Who Lived but a young man on the way to fulfilling his destiny. It is also a feast of characters, settings and situations for the HP FanArtists!
We are introduced to many new characters, not the least of which is ex-auror Alastor Moody (impersonated by Barty Crouch Jr.)
The settings of the Quidditch World Cup and the Tri-Wizard Tournament are a perfect opportunity for Jo Rowling to allow the reader a glimpse at the wider wizarding-universe, both in Britain and the world. It also gives the FanArtists a chance to stretch their imaginations beyond the confines of Hogwarts' stone walls.
With the rebirth of the dark lord and the unmasking of several of his Death Eaters, the serious side of HP FanArt hits its stride.
I will post more fantastic FanArt throughout the duration of the Book Club. -------------------- |
