The Harry Potter films are, of course, not perfect, but then probably nothing is so. And we (or most of us) still love them and re-watch them endlessly.One can always find something to criticize, but let's discuss what we do like about the films here - what makes you like them?

I think, many actors do a great job bringing our beloved characters to life (even if they do so differently from what I imagined from the books) - perhaps you like the HP actors a lot and you watch the films to enjoy their acting?

I also like the way films are made. I think the directors and camera-people also do a great job - do you think so as well?

One more thing I like about the HP films is that they, in my opinion, look beautiful rolleyes.gif The costumes and sets of Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, etc. - oh my!

And music - let's not forget music - the magic beyond all we do here.

I prefer the books. The films do an enjustice to them. I mean I really got peeved when Winky and Dobby wasn't in their spots dry.gif . They'll need Dobby for tailing Draco and to help save Harry. After all, Kreacher wouldn't have known nor would Harry call upon him in case of alerting the Death Eaters. It wouldn't have helped if one of them touched the Mark and warned Voldemort of an escape. Kreacher might be used for tailing Draco, but I doubt it. They'll probably have Harry under the cloak. Ugh, lac.gif . The most canon they've ever gotten was Harry Potter and the Sorcer's Stone/Philospher's Stone(Why the publisher's thought american kids wouldn't read it because it said "Philospner's Stone" on it, I have no clue. Still the French version translates into "Harry Potter and the School of Magic". That is a much lamer title.). It was still missing the whole "moon-shaped bottle, one-is-poison, two-will-set-you-back" thing. Although when you get the special features disc out it has it in the little quest for the stone game.

You know the Movies would be loads better if J.K. Rowling had been a scriptwriter instead of an author. Without the books the movies wouldn't have to live up to such high expectantions. I am glad though that, that isn't the reality. I'm not quite sure the movies would have done as well wothout the books or have made so many sequels. I feel that the books are some of the best literature out there and that has made the movies such a hit. I will however go see any Harry Potter movie that premieres in the future. I like to find out how well they work with the plot. In my opinion the third was the best. Oh well, we still have three more to look to.

I really liked some of the cast choices such as Miranda Richardson (Rita Skeeter), Brendan Gleeson (Mad-Eye Moody), David Thewlis (Remus Lupin), Evanna Lynch (Luna) and Rupert Grint (Ron).
