I recently bumped into the Dark Knight teaser trailer that first aired a year ago, and to my surprise the only image was the Batman symbol with voice over audio of Bruce and Alfred discussing dynamics of the Joker. More than the HBP IMAX teaser because it was 30 seconds, but a very similar idea. Interesting!

At long last! Warner Bros. has confirmed that the Teaser Trailer for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will be released via satellite this coming Tuesday, July 29.
 As soon as we can, the TLC Galleries will have it in our Video Gallery, with screencaps in the Image Gallery! Yay!

But I don't get this whole satellite thing. Does it mean you're only able to see it in the US? Why teaser trailer? Why can't it just be the real, international, 2 minute, trailer? Really, the OotP teaser trailer was only 56 seconds long. The IMAX teaser for HBP was 15 seconds...so we're getting another 50 second trailer, and then an international one later? If so, how much later?

I wonder if the teaser is being released online so the full trailer can follow with one of the movies we have been hearing rumors about. I bet we won't get anything confirmed on that until after the teaser airs!

Someone care to explain?Well, I use to have one of the 90s versions of satellites, and what that meant is that we could point out a specific channel by locating and programming the dish to turn to the exact location by typing in the right code numbers (sort of like what Leaky provided to find the HBP trailer). However, I don't know if we can still do that. I mean, I now have Direct TV (one of the current versions of satellite companies) and I hardly think I can find WB's given location on my Direct TV satellite...for one thing, their dishes can't move around like the old satellites could. I can hardly wait for tuesday!!! I wonder how long it will be... as for the teaser in front of dark night. I was slightly disappointed. I thought that if we were going to have to wait soooo long maybe we could get a little bit more. Though that's not to say that I'm not inertly thrilled that something came out. ^_^
