Greetings fellow HP crafters!

It is October and if you're like us Crafty Witches and Wizard, you're starting to get excited about the ghoulish Halloween parties that we'll be attending throughout the month.

In order to prepare for the festivities, Leaky Crafts is having a contest! Show us your most excellent party favors, your creepiest party decorations, or your most horrifying (but yummy!) party foods.

Entries must be geared towards Death Day or Halloween Parties and be related to the Harry Potterverse. These entries can be interpreted loosely. For example, if you're submitting a party food, tell us about it's magical properties, or why it's a favorite of vampires, or who wrote the original recipe -- It will count.

(P.S. We also really enjoy receiving instructions and recipes for the site!)

As of October 1st, you may submit your entries to crafts@the-leaky-cauldron.org. Please attach your photos, a description of your craft, and include your name and/or Leaky Lounge user name. These are due by November 1st at midnight Eastern time.

Entries will be judged based on wow-factor and creativity (in both the item and the description). The Crafty Witches (and Wizard!) will award the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, with 50, 25, and 10 MyLeaky House Points respectively.

Happy Crafting!

What is the deadline for entries, October 31? I am hard at work conjuring a complex bit of magic, er, decoration, and it needs to brew a couple more weeks. Will I be too late to enter?

Halloween is my VERY favorite time of year! Love to see that Harry Potter is alive and well in all of our hearts!

Hi artisticmom! Halloween is my favorite time too! smile.gif

I can't believe I forgot to specify the due date, sheesh. Usually it's the last day of the month, but I'm going to say for Halloween we'll take them til midnight on November 1st so that people can have a chance to take pictures of their objects at their parties if they'd like.

Thanks for asking! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
