This is not a contest so there is no wrong or right, best or worst. Even if you've never written a limerick before, give it a go, it's fun (and kind of contagious, too ... once you start you just cant stop)
So, what is a limerick?
Five lines
Lines one, two, and five MUST each have exactly three metric feet
Lines three and four MUST each have exactly two metric feet
Lines one, two, and five MUST rhyme
Lines three and four MUST rhyme
All limericks must conform to the limerick rules, otherwise it simply isnt a limerick. This is what's fun ... it's not just a case of rhyming the words at the end of a line, it's a structured rhyme and it makes you think. Not as easy at it looks but it sure is fun.
While everyone's out trick or treating
talking with phantoms they're meeting
I have got my eye
on some pumpkin pie
which right now I am busy eating
So there's a very scary limerick from me
