After reading the book and seeing peoples reactions to their relationship just based off this book, I can't help but feel strange about the publics view on their relationship before Deathly Hallows and the way their relationship worked in the story.
This book is basically the first one where Harry is seriously interested in Ginny in a relationship way. The thing is that it goes from secret crush, to random kiss in common room, to random blurbs in the last 200 pages, and then him ending the relationship at the end of the book. Their relationship didn't seem to be that well developed, but by the end of the book it's like they love each other. Obviously they have always cared for each other, but it does feel rushed to me. Especially because you only have one or two specfic moments where Harry and Ginny have relationship moments. I don't get why people got so attached to this couple before the last book. Ron and Hermoine had their moments throughout the series, but Harry and Ginny had little moments mentioned in the book between them that showed a strong connection. Do you think JK should have devoted more to building up their relationship and do you think fans jumped over it too fast? |
