Where do you think Harry and Ginny decide to live? Do they go to Grimmuald place and make it a much cleaner place to live? Or do they rebuild Harry's parent's place or leave it as a memorial to the war and lost loved ones?

Well this was a hard question...
At first I thought his parent's house, because of course now he has his family-- which he named after his parents, they could really have a fresh start. But then I realized that it's a memorial with a banner of 'We Support Harry Potter' and a statue of his parents...I think he would leave it as such a memorial to his parent's lives. Then I thought St. Ottery Catchpole, because he is so close to Ginny's family and then Ron and Hermione can be close by and Harry always remarked how much he liked the Burrow. However, it's rather far away from the city and Ginny and Harry both have jobs that require them to be in the city, so I would think no. Although, they can just Apparate...it would be a good place to raise a family right next to the grandparents and everyone else. However, I chose Grimmauld Place because he befriended Kreacher and I think he would be able to reinnovate the house. Also, the house was entrusted to him from Sirius the only family he actually got to meet, I think he would have liked that. I know in DH Kreacher cleans Grimmauld Place. The only issue with this is the Permanent Sticking Charms in the bedrooms and Sirius's Mother's Portrait, perhaps house-elf magic is able to overrid that magic. lol...I don't know I am torn between St. Ottery Catchpole and Grimmauld Place. I just can't see him renting out Grimmauld Place though, I mean Sirius gave it to him- I think that's what he would have wanted. -------------------- Thanks to the theonlysong, Lady M., JeffHPFan, and Mrs. Brisby for the avators!

I chose the 12 Grimmauld Place (after a lot of cleaning up done by Kreacher), because it seems the most logical place for them, although the place hold some old prejudices and bead feelings from Harry's part, most of them were redeemed after the revelation of Regulus actions and Kreacher's tale...
And let's face it, it just a hugeeee place to raise a family and without any cost... I can't imagine Harry selling it.. -------------------- Hell isn't so bad if you get to keep an angel with you.. |

i chose St Ottery Catchpole because of fact that he will always be close to People who really loved him and stood up for him and the only place which Harry Describes as his home apart from Hogwarts ,and that way Harry and Ginny can do their jobs and Arthur-Molly can take care of their Children and Harry will always know they are safe

It is a tricky question, because Harry presumably has two houses, 12GP and the house at Godric's Hollow, though neither are perhaps are ideal, I think Godric's Hollow is perhaps more suitable for bringing up a family, and has no real bad memories for Harry since he was too young to remember their deaths properly, and when he does he will take pride at their sacrifice, and I think a living family is a better memorial than a ruined and abandoned house. I guess being close to the Burrow would be an advantage, but distance is much less of a barrier in the wizarding world where apparation and the floo network shorten distances.

I can't imagine Harry going back to Godric's Hollow and I certainly can't imagine him at Grimauld place even if it was cleaned up. I think Harry and Ginny will have their home someplace in the country. Harry mentioned to Sirius that someday he and Sirius might live in the country and I think Harry would like the freedom of that too. He might stay at Grimauld place until he and Ginny set up housekeeping together, but I don't think he'd stay there to raise his family. It's not a good place to do that IMHO. I choose Ottery St. Catchpole or someplace near there.

I went with Ottery St. Catchpole as well, since I do think Ginny and Harry would want to be by their friends and family. Godric's Hollow might be too much like facing the past every day, same thing with Grimmuald Place.
That said, I think he'd give Grimmuald Place to Teddy when he's old enough. |

I also went with Ottery St. Catchpole because outside of Hogwarts that is where he felt most at home. Also, I think Ginny would like being close to her family. Harry will also want to be close to Ron and Hermione naturally.

I said Grimmauld place, but I doubt they stayed there long. It would be very practical since the place was already Harry's, but I too think Harry would prefer to live in the country. Since Ginny grew up in the country, I can imagine she might have been facinated by city life for a while. But by the time their paternal years start I think they will have sold it to some other Wizards (after fixing it up a bit) and moved to build their own home together somewhere.
