Is it just me or Hermione deserves more then just "you were amazing", after all sheīs been through? I was talking about this in the other topic and decided to ask you guys. She was almost killed many times, then she was hungry, then she was tortured, but still didnīt betray Harry. Just for the record, Iīm not h/h.

She was the only one who was always loyal to him, everyone failed Harry at least once, Ron more than once, even Dumbledore, in ootp, except maybe Hagrid. Jo should have include a scene where Harry thanked her in a special way, like the one where Harry hugs Mrs Weasley.

I think the least he could do is pay for her trip to australia to fetch her parents. Besides that, maybe get her a whole library, and, who knows, I can see they share just one innocent kiss, to say thank you and show how they feel. But it really infuriated me when he was angry with her for breaking his wand!!! Come on, next time sheīll just let them be killed then!!
Anyways, the point is, Harry should show way more gratitude. How do you guys think he thanked her?

What about Ron? Neville? Luna? Lupin? Sirius? Albus? Snape? Lily? James? There are countless people he has to thank and some he can never do so. I think just the sheer fact that they are friends is really enough. They didn't do these things for Harry to get rewarded from his later one, they did it because they Love him (Well not so much Snape...). That's been the theme of the whole book series has been those that care for Harry will help Harry no matter what and don't need comphensation for their trouble. I mean both Ron and Harry have saved Hermione as much as she has them. Their friendship shouldn't have a price tag on it to show respect and honor to each other.

I'll ignore the little "innocent kiss" remark lol.

haha, I know they didnīt do it expecting to be rewarded, it was out of love, I never said their friendship had a price. All Iīm saying is, a little bit of gratitude doesnīt hurt. As for the kiss think, yeah, that was just my fanfic writer side showing up, probably. lol you can ignore it if you want. But still...I missed at least some "thank you" from his part.

Do you think she would be happy if he bought stuff to her? There are other ways to say "Thank you".

And, he (and she)would betray Ron huge if they kissed!

yeeah I know about the kiss, disregard that! but then what other ways to thank her, this is what Iīm asking. And no, I donīt think she would be happy if he bought her stuff, but yes, I think he should show her somehow that heīs thankful, this is what I mean.
Donīt take it the wrong way guys, itīs almost like Iīm a bad person for thinking she would be happy if he showed gratitude somehow, something like the scene between Harry and Mrs Weasley.

i completely agree with you Anna Luiza. she was the one who showed the most solidarity towards harry. not that ron wasnt loyal, but he was wasnt mature enough to stay with him always. in my head, i think somehow, harry did make it up to hermione. he probably did something for her. but i do think it should be in the story at least a decent apology. but i agree that she probably didnt care, and she probably knew how much she did.

I like to imagine the Potter Pals (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Luna, Ginny, etc) making a pact as a way of thanks: that should something happen to any of them, the life of their descendants would be always assured. That way, shall any of them die, their children would be cared for by the others, so they wouldn't need to live like Harry, without a real family, or Neville, being pushed around by his grandmother, or Ron, overshadowed by his brothers, or Hermione, who was secluded because of her personality.

What would Harry harry.gif do to express his gratitude and love for his dear friend Hermione hermione.gif ??
Maybe he would take her to Ollivander's wand shop in Diagon Alley and buy her a new wand.
He would inform Ron first of what he wanted to do and why, so Ron ron.gif would be cool with it.
This would also give him the chance to talk to her alone and to really let her know how much her friendship, faith and love has meant to him.
I sure she wouldn't want to continue to use Bellatrix's wand and that way when ever she used it she would remember that it was a gift from her dear friend, her Brother Harry.

Well, I think he would have just said "ThankYou" because, after all , he saved her life not to mention every other wizards life. How could Harry Really thank everyone who fought with him ? Died with Him ? He can't . But they'll all know how thankful he if, because remember, they can't really thank him enough ether.

yeah, I suppose lots of other people fought and died for Harry, and he couldnīt possibly thank them all, but this is a main character Iīm talking about, she isnīt someone he barely knows, after all! She was there, whenver times were hard. Everybody else wasnīt always there the way she was, agreed? Apparently some of you guys are thinking she didnīt do anything special to deserve special recognition, that sheīs just done what many others did for harry!
